  1. i think youre really confusing the point of the post. he was stating he didnt want to join a bandwagon, but theres no way anyone could DC doesnt have one. of course i believe its deserved, but bandwagon nonetheless.
  2. yeah....me either. apparently is very different from dubstep...lol
  3. its not skimping. guy isnt running that much power, and he doesnt need over the top excessive deadening. plus, while on a budget what works will work. edead is great for being $1/$2 a sq foot. and for the price fatmat really cant be beat. its like....$140 shipped for 100sq ft of their fatmat. i used fatmat, was pleased. secondskin was better, but i couldnt tell a difference between the rattletrap and damplifier pro minus being a whole lot cheaper. havent used the audiowrap so i wont comment, but i can say edead if youre broke as shit. if not but cant spend money, go with fatmat.
  4. lol @ vagina kick if you want something cheap but legit look into edeadner from elemental designs or fatmat on ebay. id rather go with the fatmat if youre truly on a budget.
  5. wheel size is important but definitely you want to look into tire size as well. i put on some new 24s on my truck and the total size of the wheel and tire is the same as the last set of 23s i had on. you can wrap rims in a variety of sizes
  6. apparently judging people who judge is ok, lol. i dont want to get sidetracked and off topic but watch the bass feels much the same way that the rest of the world feels towards america. i have family in australia, new zealand, samoa, england, and a couple other places and family reunions are always.....fun to say the least. but as much shit talking as everyone else will do about america, keep turning to us for style, fashion, movies, and the general ok. america is not what she once was, but i find it funny people can talk shit about america and our president when they dont even know who their own leader is. and they can yet george washington yet couldnt tell you the first letter of the first name of their country's first leader. get off of our nuts. and quit generalizing an entire country into something easy to blame. or i guess we might as well assume all germans hate jews, all jews killed jesus, and so forth. on a side note....i do not feel sorry for the people who go into these countries with existing conflicts with our country. im not sure what they were trying to prove, but all they proved was that the conflict truly exists.
  7. any modifcation to the fleets suspension? wheelsnext was trying to create some new application for their website where you can check out wheels and tires on your car.
  8. well if the bass knob adjusts the gains then yes...it can cause clipping. using the gain is not bad, but using the gain and not knowing what youre doing is bad. there are many ways of creating clipped signals. if you dont know what youre doing.....just leave it alone, lol. but just because youre using the bass on the headunit does not mean you can not clip
  9. look to XS Power products either directly from the company or through Mechman, both are linked at the top of the page. D2400 would be great, wheres your alternator from?
  10. really depends on the person. i personally run the bass off of the headunit. of course a bass knob can make it easier, but its just personal preference
  11. well if youre only running the AP1500, i would suggest either the D1200 or D2400. prices...i dont know. but definitely find the links at the top of the page.
  12. then yeah.....i think those things have like....60-70 amp alternators....lol. big three done at all? what battery is under the hood? any batteries in the back?
  13. hmmmmm..seems pretty high for that many watts. but its already been asked what exactly is your electrical set up. i really dont see your setup pulling that much current. what kind of car?
  14. apparently american bass doesnt even have information about these subs on their website yet. no word yet on actual voicecoil configurations...do you actually know the voicecoil configuration to ensure proper wiring? even at 400watts per sub that should still sound decent. pictures looked beefy, but all in all the subs looked....sad. i think darkjustice may have been thinking the amps were TNT series by earthquake. seriously...some shitty amps.
  15. i was asking for the voicecoil configurations on the subs. as in how are they wired into the amps? is 2ohms the final ohm load running two per amp?
  16. i assumed he was running two AQ1200s.... im thinking the wiring is incorrect and so hes trying to compensate for the noob mistake by upping his gain.
  17. adding a high output alternator will increase your current score by 9 to 12 decibels...depending on how many amps it adds.
  18. are you refering to the gain? and what are the voicecoil configurations? im not familiar with the TNT from american bass...
  19. and XS Power would be your best option when looking into a battery. but its hard to just throw out battery without even knowing what hes using for his whole electrical setup.
  20. a capacitor isnt going to be useful or efficient for your setup. but i have two questions....what is your current electrical setup and what the heck do you mean "i dont have it all the way up like i want?"
  21. i think you might want to change some of your information.........but anyways......here goes....i might ramble...ive been blazing all day. 1) the "Big Three" upgrade means improving the current capacity of three cables: alternator positive to battery positive, battery negative to chassis, and engine ground to chassis. basically upgrading the big 3 can lower the overall resistance of your electrical system. think of your vehicle's charging system as two different circuits, one consisting of your amplifier and your battery, and the other consisting of your alternator and your battery. the current in your electrical system flows from your positive battery terminal to your amp, from your amp's ground to the chassis, and then from the chassis back to the negative battery terminal. but how does it get to the positive terminal in the first place? that's where the alternator comes in. current in the second circuit flows from your alternator's positive post to the battery's positive terminal, then from the battery's negative terminal to the chassis, and from the chassis back to the block, which happens to be the grounding point for your alternator. so, from your battery, you have the power wire going to the power terminal on your amplifier and then your amplifier is grounded to the chassis of the vehicle. from here the current needs a way to get back to the negative battery terminal, and that way is through the first of the "Big Three," the battery negative to chassis wire. upgrading this wire will "upgrade" the circuit between your battery and your amp by giving the current a larger path to flow through to get back to the battery. basically, upgrading these wires will "upgrade" the circuit giving the current a larger path to flow through. 2) i dont know the prices offhand, mostly since i buy the d3100s, lol. but you can talk to nate with XS Power or Matt with Mechman to get some prices for you. they also have a great chart for mapping out which battery would work best for your needs. 3) normally i just get them from a local guy....but im in alaska. not going to be much help for you there.
