i seriously laugh at people when they tell me they like the rattling in the trunk. flex is one thing, but rattling is just sad all around. it lowers sound quality, volume, and strength of notes. why would anyone WANT to have less sound? its like saying, i love buying huge 44oz cups of cola with small holes in the bottom.

honestly, i wasnt able to open the link either that boon provided. and yeah, i meant ALL that. i honestly wouldnt go with the stinger kit. much better options you could go with which would be cheaper. i think the stinger twin alternator kits are like $1500 for two alts, belts, and the bracket. and for only a total of 440amps?

out of curiousity, what do you have setup for your electrical set up? i also use t4s but have a pretty solid foundation for my amps. have you thought about it or were you letting the shop run that too?

i laugh at some of the people who dont believe the iphone will be available through verizon. the iphone was originally marketed to verizon before at&t but the company did not take forwhatever reasons. will it be available through verizon? i believe it will. in 2010? not a chance. if it is even close to be factual truth the phone would be offered on the new 4g network verizon will be working on next year, and not the cdma signal currently used. but i laugh even more at the guy who refuses to use 3g because the internet is slow. if its not someting you dont use, then i understand your opinion. but for someone who can do so much wirelessly through my phone $120 a month is nothing for the flexability and efficiency my 3g phone gives me. the 14th of this month my droid incredible should be shipped and i can not wait.

i just use the regular IE but i never have to log in. i only have to relog in when i log in to another computer

dont turn the amp up period, lol. and i highly doubt if you wire the subs correctly youll be pulling 1400 watts from the amp. i believe the subs you have are d4, and 600 is the max. also on a side note...isnt google or bing a better option than a thread when asking questions like these? search engines = your friend

the brand isnt bad, you could definitely do worse, but that being said they are definitely overrated and you CAN do better. better quality, better price, better reliability, and better performance. were you looking into the amps or subs?

have no idea what experiences the 2nd poster has had, planet audio is some good stuff. ive loved them for a long time, dont pay retail for a lot of stuff, but i can find pretty good deals on craigslist. they are a very decent brand with good stuff. never had a bad experience with anything planet audio.

you have no idea the facepalm i wanted to do. when the sub was taken out there was more foam than there was room in the box. it literally blew out the box. he called last week and i told him to never call me again. i dont get some people...not everyone has to be super smart when it comes to car audio, but people can not be soooooooooo dumb.

so freaking true. 2 most recent similar stories. guy is balling on a budget, something i hate, but i felt sorry for him. he didnt have enough money to fiberglass his interior, so i offer to sand the shit out of his panels, and he can just layer it with layer after layer with rattlecan primer so i can finish sanding it down and paint it for him. supercheap. so he complains that his doors are not smooth like the panels in my cars. um....i explained EVERYTHING in minute detail he can expect when working on a budget. his friend had me install two pioneer championship 12s with a sony 760watt amp, which just pissed me off, so i got him a really good deal on an old school 1600 earthquake amp. he comes in about 2 weeks later saying his subs arent bumping as hard and is upset at my install job. first thing i notice...hes hooked up the sony 760 AND the earthwuake amp. i check his setup knowing i dont make mistakes...im a ninja....and i see he has changed all the wires. he replaced 16g wires because accordng to him, the colors went better for his project. like really...what the fuck. after fixing all this, the subs are really not pushing air...and it sounds so clogged...so i pull out the subs...this dipshit. the box is STUFFED with fucking old ass mattress stuffing. because he saw something like that on unique whips that tricks the subs into thinking theres more airspace to the subs hit harder. like....really? what the fuck are you coming to me for if youre just going to watch unique whips and put mattress parts in your sub box?!?!?!?

maybe that was the price, lol

i dont think anyone here nnis trying to bash them. i think the point of this post, which in my opinion should have been put into the craigslist fail thread, is showing how much people try to get on craigslist for a name brand. the sledgehammers are the flag ship, but like JL, it doesnt make it worth the exxagerated price it is sold for. now i dont care about price, because i would just skip past it. its not my product, my brand, or my company. they can charge whatever it is they want. but you take a look, its like $700 for a 750wattrms 10, which really is not logical in my mind. and mtx amps have never been anything i would consider a legacy. ive used, installed, and worked on heaps of mtx amps that people have brought to me, and nothing i would consider worth mentioning. i just take this post for what it was intended for, and laugh that someone would pay so much for something so little and then try to charge just as much. but like you, i know its the guys stuff. he can charge whatever it is he wants
