No just that they will have the new models for the same price. As far as the referbs go they are generally open box. Mine was literally mint condition (not even a scratch or a spec of dust). I got a unibody for $899 and saved $200, but that was a long time ago now.

Two things... First off new models are about to hit so if you're going to buy don't buy the highest end. Two, always buy Apple referbs when you can. They look like brand-new and have the same warranty. Also if you know someone that works for a school or is in school they qualify for an additional discount.

It's expensive and doesn't work for shit from what I've read over the years. Read some reviews.

I think a good place to start is with the deal MI just struck up with GE. I just heard they are opening their global IT center not far from here and hiring 1200 people. See what incentives they were offered and go from there. I have plenty of idea's, but honestly, they aren't "modest". Coming from Detroit gives me a unique and often unpopular view on things.

I think the guy got ripped off. If he was trying to pull a fast one he would at least use the correct names. I hate seeing people get ripped off it really pisses me off.

I run stainless bolts. Just make sure you use 2 washer/nuts on the outside. That way you can disconnect/reconnect without loosening up the bolt inside the box making the wires flop around.

The database was destroyed so they are having to replace the data manually. CACO is not gone just had a serious crash. We'll be back running soon. Manually... No multiple backup "rotation"? That blows... I've seen bigger sites have this happen time and time again. Backups are king and you MUST test them. Not trying to be a dick, but you do realize that the bank doesn't have your money right? What are they going to do just give you $250 and hope the check doesn't bounce? That's not how it works man. Direct deposit is cash wired to them. AFAIK there is only 1 way around waiting and that is to use the same bank your employer does, a bank that supports your banks systems, or direct deposit obviously. For debit we use BoA (14% keep the change matching ftw) and for our rental (rent checks go in there). Checks there clear in about 1/5th the time it takes my FCU. My green goes in my FCU, but honestly BoA has way better features as far as day to day stuff goes. The one perk of my FCU (and why I stay) is because they know me and as such I get better service and can do things I could never do at BoA with all their strict rules and what not.

I can't even imagine dealing with snow down south, people have no clue. Up here it's no big deal unless we hit a foot.

I agree with ya in some respects, but not all of the guys are elitist and I don't find any fart box score impressive. No offense intended to anyone, but that isn't my thing. If they aren't on music I don't care. Doing a 50+ at 50hz isn't impressive at all to me. There are guys doing 70's the same way... That isn't my bag personally, if you aren't doing it on music I could care less. I do however 100% agree that it's cool as hell to see guys put up big numbers on lower end stuff or 1/5th the power. I might have been looking at the wrong one... You talking about the one with the video you posted in right?

It is more rare to see people do a real build with lower end stuff. I generally don't look because when I do there is a prefab box and magically installed stuff. Just keep in mind there are bigger builds that user lower end stuff like HiFonics, Kicker, etc. Those brands are better for people new to car audio simply because their warranty is better. Often times people talk crap about them, but I for one have 3 12W6's from 99 that have been beating ever since on a MMATS 1400.2 amp (at .7ohms) from 98. That's 2x rated power... No complaints here. You can get Kicker, JL, and the rest cheap, you just have to haggle. Don't forget that most shops pay half or less of what they are trying to charge you. I hear ya, but in my own defense, there aren't that many with SMDs. That and not to toot our own horns, but mine will do around 46 on 2kw (I'm not talking clamped at whatever load my subs are kicking out, I'm talking rated power). That's far from 10kw I can understand them being boring, but mine was far from boring unless you don't think seeing someone have amps blow the hell up for no reason, getting ripped off, having alts blow up, wires melt down, and the rest is boring EDIT: 46 not 48 >.<

That rating makes it sound like it's 300 bridged so you need to provide a 4ohm load to each side of the amp. Amps being exactly 1/2 the power and double the ohm load is too convenient. If I were you would run 1 per channel and be done with it. They will scream.
