I am extremely confused that one of your quotes in your sig is "i think that people with 4 12´s are pussy!!" and you're considering four 12s. Anyway, I've heard the level 4s are great around 1500. I think if you sealed the trunk off, on that power one badass sub would be sweet, I'm thinking one xl or one level 5. Of your choices though, with that amp I'd do 2 level 4s, you'd be able to give them enough juice to make them happy.

I'm not expert but I'd say like 4-5 cubes per sub. 100-120 square inches of port between the two(50-60 per sub). You'd probably wind up with a box something like I did in my 9000 build, sadly I'm rebuilding the box for mine... again.

just keep retrying. sometimes you need to go back to your user home page thingy for it and try again. If you still have trouble, try downloading format factory, you can use it to reduce the picture size, it makes it easier to upload, it's what I do, and it's pretty simple to use.

Alright, now I know my fair share in the car audio world, but a couple things have been bothering me for a while, and I want to get them off of my chest... I'll probably get some shit for this but I haven't been able to really find anything on this... First off, when tuning an amp with a DMM or O-Scope, do you leave the speakers/subs hooked up or you you unhook them from the amp and insert the probes in the speaker outputs? The other question is, is it better to run two or more subs in one chamber of a box or to give them each their own chambers?

If you want something that will give you roof flex, punch you in the throat, occasionally make you feel like vomiting, and just dig deeper and deeper into your ears, then a DC level 5 on 2500+ in 6.5 cubes is a good choice, otherwise if you can make more room, two level 4s ported is what I would do. There's always enough room, you're just not trying hard enough.

Make a port built in, then make a port that fits inside of the port so you can just slide it in, just recalculate the box volume to include the new sized port to figure out the correct length, but keep in mind both ports will have different areas going that route.

What kind of port? slot, round, aero? If it's slot port then this is how I did the interchangeable port on my friend's box, if you look at the earlier pics you see how it mounts in there.

the 10 does exist, contact rusty for one, the 12 is probably 12.5 inches, my friends level 5 18 is 18.5 inches. The basket is used by other subs too, so you can always try looking for info on other subs too. If it's a common 12 spoke I know fi uses them and they list the outside diameter, but my friends level 5 is a 6 spoke, so I don't really know.

Yeah, it's called JL Audio. But seriously, most brands you hear of on here have a reason for being so pricey, and it's because they are such high quality and are backed by amazing support. when is the last time you heard someone complain about their Fosgate amp, or Hertz speakers, or DD subs?

For subs I love DC, my friend's level 5 is getting about 2000 (for now) from a Sundown SAZ-3000D, and it's barely moving, they are BEASTS. It really started to wake up around 3000, but we don't want to clip it.

I like this, this is a great idea, you should do one for people with O-scopes that will tune your amp for you too, that would be very helpful too.
