ps - i wouldn't have even attended San Mateo if it weren't for someone kicking me in the nuts until i just built something to get him to STFU. i had a 5 day vacation to build the van, got screwed out of 2 of those days because of work. I didn't even want to try to build a wall in 3 days. If impalaman quit kicking me in the nuts, I would have went to Indy to spectate..... moral of the story, i'm gonna ride your ass until you bring that burban over and shut me up with some welding. -

no body is putting him down. this is one of those times in life where you either fold and say i'm done, maybe next year....or have all your friends kick you in the nuts until you realize other viable options out there. well guess what, homie, i'm here to kick you in the nuts as long as you need. Example - you don't have to drive 2 hours each way just to get some welding done. you saw the amount of room and car parts there are in that dirt lot next to my pad. fuck it, weld at my place after work and add some scrap steel to the pile. That's 3 solid hours of work that can be done each night during the week. It can be done by Friday.... Close enough that Joey can come by and give everything a once over this weekend. -

it'll never be 'unstressful'.........this is all controlled stress that dies down after each show and comes back before the next. that's one of the main reasons that got you into dbdrag/bassrace. "excitement" roll with that "excitement", don't step away from it. -

hitch a ride with one of the teammates to shows and share the cost of gas. you can build any day, it's just a matter of getting out there and building. If greg is going to Reno and you'll build in san jose this weekend, might as well pick up the burban and the welder tonight and get started.... as far as money and wire, you can start whoring yourself out at $50 a pop? Or you can start hitting up Tsunami, Hooker, Audiopipe, RF, Metra and see if they'll kick down some wire for the build.............Send them the stats page along with pics of the progress and see what they say. -

werd. you're already half way there. make the rest of the splmax events (how many left, 5?) with whatever car you can run, and just finish out the season. logistically speaking (depending on what all you wanted to do to the burban before finals), it'll take upwards of couple months of full time work to get it 100% done. Meade's been on the hoopty for what, a year? Looking at it that way, there already isn't enough time. So why put everything else on hold to accomodate this deadline? Plan out what you actually/realistically want accomplished in terms of fit and finish, paint, whatever -- and schedule it out. You've got plenty of time to finish the splmax season and get the burban playing in laughlin. It won't be the purdiest burban ever, but it'll make an entrance and be respectable. -

all i'm hearing is excuses, homie. getting your ass handed to you is no reason to step down. This isn't GTA....can't reload the game if it isn't perfect. you've always had cars that you can use at shows. now it's just being able to accept things the way they are until the next build is playable......handle those losses and keep playing with what you have access too. -

fixed! -
If you killed a fet, it's likely something else is now damaged, too. Be carefull just dropping a replacement fet in there. Even the same model number parts will have different values. If you have one go bad in a block of 3 or 4 fets, you should replace them ALL with equal/matching value fets. When you find your part, you'll need to order half a dozen or so to find the couple that match.
