4th order X6.5sw
CortezDTV replied to sideshow_kustom's topic in Sundown Audio - GREAT Amps/Subs! GREAT Customer Service!
Please explain why he shouldn't use solid core wire..Solid core wire will break after vibrations, it's meant to be installed in a home where it is never subjected to vibration. The wire will crack inside the sheathing. It will ohm out but you will get static and shorts through the speakers, use copper tube much stronger than copper wire, also mug more rigid and will actually hold the bends. When the solid core wire does finally break, you won't be able to tell, when you ohm it out it will read alright but you won't be able to get any current through the break in the wire. Been there done that!!! Never again!!! You make a good point! That's why I was going to make holding brakets for them so they couldn't move. I was thinking the more places I support the wire the less it can move and cause it to break. Just a thought! I've never ran solid core wire on a system! Thanks for the info! Just my advise, use something with 5 or 6 strands doesn't have to be many but just make sure it's not one solid peice have had it fail in cars and in pipe coming from under a house into a fountain. Both same issue, wire reads fine ohms fine, can't put a load through it. When you use it as speaker wire it can create a huge amount of interference, and or hissing or just a random short which was happening to me in my first car. I don't think you can hold it rigid enough inside a vehicle for it not to be an issue. Look at the pinned bmw m3 build log (birrillium) some spelling like that... He used copper tube as speaker wires, you could cost them with clear heat shrink if you are worried about touching; it's much stronger than copper wire will hold the shape you want but it won't break like the solid core wire will. -

Do not use solid core wire! If you want something rigid, use copper tube or a very low strand count wire but Do not use solid core wire!!! -

We can turbo that and throw some nos at it and maybe get you down to 15 second 0-60's.There was a e350 diesel around me that would destroy mustangs and Camaro's on a regular basis was bad ass no clue what he had done but I know it beat a car that ran low 12's. Bread truck 4bt Cummings swap time -

Grc can be a stock car..... Not a race car My mustang was not a race car but a daily driver A tesla ps85d can do 0-60 in 2.8 sec with the new update now.... Yes you can get 750 hp out of a bbc with some heads, but exactly what you said it's probably not that quick 0-60 because of weight To each their own I don't think that 4-5 sec 0-60 is fast period you do Clearly we differ on what we think fast is, or you have never experienced an electric motor neck snap preferably on a motorcycle although Id love to drag a firmware update ps85d 2.8 sec. 4 door, weighs as much as your vehicle probably more, 691 ft lbs.... Post a pic of the vehicle it's in? What is gross vehicle weight of this pig you speak of? -

The vw grc is a rally car asshole. It was a comparison of acceleration and no you can buy a grc with full interior.... So no it's a normal car which has a backseat you can't fit people like the corvette Porsche basically every other car brought up....And my mustang doesn't count lol ur right I've never done zero to 60 in 3 seconds Lmao And have you ever even done 0 to 60 in 3 sec in or on any vehicle..... I can fit people in the back seat of my porsche just fine, Hell I usually have a car seat in the back of mine Lol Lmao!!! Cayanne or Panamera hell ya you can 911 esh. It's might tight my hat is off to you sir!!! -

you obviously didnt read my post.. with mods i said it would do high 10's not low and said with super charger and mods it will do mid 9's to low 9 nines.. no shit a 10.99 and 9.99 is not the same.. the difference is a hole lot more horsepower im happy with a mid 12sec car. you really don't need more for the street..and just because you own a mustang dont mean you know more about racing than the next guy. brokeaudio knows his shit Never said he didn't know his shit I said he is a moron because he assumed I had never even been in a car that can do 0-60 in 3 sec I owned one.... I proved it.... I asked him to show the car he has been in that was so impressive, because he can so boldly call me out on a comment So far it's been excuses about this and that Show the car... Name the car... No I don't think I know everything because I have a mustang I don't know anything about racing. In fact I'll own it too, everyone has a million things to learn. but I know what my car did.... And to me 4.5sec 0-60 is meh. And when you say mods you mean bolt on 350+ horsepower from stock. Ya simple to get all that extra horsepower.... Look at how much ken has put into his ride You can make anything fast... just takes time and money -

Why don't you look back. You called me out with no facts about me saying 4.5 sec is meh Which to me it is sorry I owned a car that would stomp a 4.5 zero to 60 I didn't say "o that's slow for a 4 door" I said meh because I would want anything with the F badge to do in the 3 second range Maybe you have driven a fast car, and o geee you can't even say what is was.... I'm rolling on the floor laughing -

Hahahaha your a moron do your research before you talk shit I had 450wheel hp in a 2500 lbs supercharged 65 stang, t5, 9" with gears And own 2 bikes do 0-60 in under 4 sec and 2 that do it in under 3sec Before it was supercharged -

the new GS-F though not F "sport" but F. if i didn't have a shop full of pink slips to register every year i would probably go get one Ahhh that's right. The new gs f. Ya it's wet 500hp 400ft lbs stock But 0-60 is mid 4s. Meh. But the luxury with Lexus is so nice But in all honesty fastest 0-60 is that new vw grc. Vw claimed 2.1 sec..... It was clocked doing 1.9 0-60 What corvette, import, supercar, blah blah blah can match that? -

I love the isf's Considered buying one for a long time before I bought my truck, that backseat is just to small for me I like the slightly bigger gs but it was nice in 2008-11 that super modern body style kinda fell off imo. It looks better on the new isf and the new ls but gs eh But Like Orion said you can make any car fast 10 sec Impala. Up maybe you mean high 10s with a huge list of mods and 650hp or more guaranteed There is a big difference between 10.99 cars and 9.99-10.00 cars people don't get it All I have to say is P85D. 4 door beast mode Gas is fun but once you go electric you don't go back..... -
Mmmmhhhmmmmmm I love me some American bass I've had one maybe 2 of their amps
