Def Leopard - Pour Some Sugar On Me (slow)
s1795so2 replied to bibby>Chode's topic in Tunez - All things music related
It is tight just to play in a vehicle, but it also sounds like it would be perfect for a strip club, is that the kind of club you were talkin about? -Steven- -
That is no problem for any fi sub. Go to ficaraudio.com and click on forum there are a lot of install logs on that forum for fi, maybe some will be close enough to give you a demo. -Steven-

What frequency do you want them to play? I mean you can't watch vids of things and judge them. Get a live demo from someone. -Steven-

Bb.com Is A Cool Mo-fo
s1795so2 replied to meade916's topic in February 2007 SOTM is BAGGEDBIRDS.COM!
got my stuff today and it is awesome x100, cool stuff and will buy more soon. -Steven- -
6.5's, memphis also makes an oversized 5 1/4" so it might be perfect for you. I like the 6.5's though, will never do anything smaller unless I do a 3 or 4" for more fill along w/ 6.5's -Steven-

Pretty dang close to brand new in box, they were used for a week in my grand prix, before I switched to the msync style comp's. These are the msq series m-class. Carbon fibre cone and 1" tweet. I still have almost all of the wiring that came w/ it, cept a small section that I clipped off for an extension on my 6x9's. -Steven-

The cvr's are bad (good) lil' woofers. I loved mine and I am sure he will love his, but they aren't enough after a while because they are 8's and don't hit the low low freq's. I see in your sig, you are saving up for comps, I have a set of memphis comp's sitting around gathering dust, what have you got to work w/? I only want 100 for them.

Any questions on the price, refer to the sticky in the for sale section, it is titled something like smd boxes - if interested heres prices. As for how much this box is costing, price it using the prices on the for sale sticky. Pricing is very reasonable, plus who doesn't want steve to be a part of their build? It is pure quality and you get to be able to say the box is an original steve meade design. This box was built so sturdy because I am going to be beating the hell out of my subs day in and day out, especially at shows. I think steve mentioned this but this box is sort of like the box he built for some mtx 9515's except a lot more going on in the inside of the box. -Steven-

I would go with 36-38 hz tuning, that is what mine sounded nice at when I had my regualar cab truck and wanted something simple. The tuning freq is nice to rock out w/ some nickelback, or some 3 6 mafia. They should be fine on 125-150 watts a piece and just rail like crazy. Does he already have a amp, or the subs? a memphis 250 watts m-class amp would be great. But if he is a baller on a budget this would be right around 300-325 watts because they are underrated and under 200 bux, undefined I am not sayin buy from woofersetc.com but you can because it is a decent site, but try to buy from a memphis dealer, they are usually good people. There is a lot of rockford fosgate amps under 300 to power those subs also -Steven-

Oh okay, my bad. The surround was the biggest flaw in the eclipse titaniums, but I would hope not in these subs. I think you should be good though it was mostly with the 10's and 12's that had problems. Like I said keep us updated. -Steven- -
i think I will be able to make the one in stl (i am going to be gone to school for 4 months so i dunno) I know i will be able to make the one in oklahoma, I will be up there that weekend and for the next 4 months after that weekend. haha. Project Gp Squared

changed my mind again, one of my friends who will remained unnamed hooked me up with quite a bit of rockford stuff, so I couldn't resist. Now what is going in and is ordered is mostly Rockford fosgate. 2 t20001's 2 800.4's 3 power 6.5" components 1 pair power 6x9's 360.2 processor holding off till I decide but chances are will have all rockford wiring to including replacing all my existing stinger stuff. -Steven- -
haha I know that lack of caffiene feeling, I use that excuse up to 11 am, the after 11am to about 5:30 pm it is lack of redbull, then from 5:30 to when I go to bed, it is lack of alcohol. at least those are my main excuses for when I ask a dumb question or do something stupid. -Steven- okay back to topic now

that is why to keep that excess dust out of my sandpaper longer i use a water bottle with a small hole poked in the top of it and keep it rinsing while i am sanding. You didn't piss anyone off, some just didn't know what you were getting at with that post, now that you have told us why you change paper more we understand that post. didn't mean to make you think I was pissed off. -Steven-

New Toy Today!
s1795so2 replied to visitor's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.
It looks like a nice toy, me personally I am not a big fan of aluminum coned subs. I seen nothing but blown up eclipse aluminum(designed by tc sounds) subs come back to my boys shop, and not to mention all the eclipse titanium's (designed by tc sounds) that came back with broke surrounds all the way around, and not even being abused. I also seen when clarion was making aluminum cone (pretty sure tc sounds had something to do with this woofer) subs that when it got cold and something accidently hit it it split in half. So I have seen and heard a bunch of things go wrong with aluminum cone woofers. Don't think I am downing this woofer, I have heard good things about tc sounds woofers that they make for themselves. I just wish you luck and hope you aren't one more to add to my horror story. All in all looks good tho, keep us posted with the install, to! -Steven-
