If i remember right, the person used a piece of frame steel to get it to fit then used aluminum to make it look pretty. I swear ive seen this on here before. I just cant find it for the life of me. Edit: Oh yea, ac is over-rated, but then again I wear beanies during the summer also.

I have been searching the forums for the last 2-3 hours trying to find this. I seen that someone on here has taken off the AC Compressor on a gm motor that has the compressor on the top right side and made a custom bracket for an alternator to sit in its place. If anyone knows the vehicle I'm talking about, then would you please post a link to the build? Thanks. Heres a pic of the bay, as you can see the AC Compressor is right on top.

I thought there was a thread that was pointing people away from this site. I paid for 2 hcca's and never got the money back. Called, emailed, then called some more and never got my money back. Went thru the whole deal of not being in stock, shipped, oh well cancel that, wheres my money emails and phone calls. Got about 80 emails and about 30 phone records.

so, the subwoofer setting is on? HPF shouldnt have anything to do with the sub. Ive got the same deck and wondered why mine wouldnt come on, then remembered i had the function off since there was no system. The button on the far right middle of the faceplate is the one you want to hold for the sub fucntion to come up.

That is recommended by me, i know from experience that THHN is easy to nick. But you could get some welding wire, I just ordered some for my truck and the 1/0 was decently cheap from weldingsupply.com

I agree with Ford302Redneck. That wire is THHN. Its coating is no where near thick enough and most likely its rated at 90c or 194f in dry conditions. In wet conditions its rated at 75c or 167f. Its mainly used for commercial and some residential purposes. Id stay away from the wire for the big 3, i wouldnt trust it.

my alternator was my culprit when that was happening to me. Sometimes it would be at 12v then jump up to 14, i thought it was the alternator so i changed it and fixed the problem. I did have a dmm on the battery with long leads and watched the voltage for about a week before I changed it tho.

too bad the price went up but i was getting diamond d3 15s for 100 bucks each...now they went up to almost 200 bucks each now... btw 4 15s in a small box and on a crappy amp didnt sound bad in my blazer( after i added tweets)

lol, prolly sounds nothing like my busted rear shock mount...when i hit a bump its metal to metal and its pretty loud...chevy cross members are WEAK,,, btw yea its late and ill try and help more when you have a pic/vid..

you wouldnt happen to have any videos or pictures to give further detail on where the rattling is comming from? From my recent video, i found out my chevy emblem on the tailgate rattles like none other along with the back doors...

so heres my video of my 4 15's that my brother took..tomorrow i want to clamp the amp and see what its really puttin out..any suggestions and some help on how to clamp it? BTW, Harley's are the shit, i just cant afford one...i could hear it in the truck when my bro was takin the video...more annoying than the system imo...but thats me..
