well i have an update on my elecrical issue i just charged them and it now read even lower and i checked everything all wires fuses everything my front batt still reads 14.1-14.2 at idle but the back battery barley hit 13volts but i will try 1 or 2 more runs of postive wire from my front battery and see if that helps, any input will be nice with my annoything problem

XL 18" gets stinky...
KnockinthaStreetzof608 replied to RickyFriery97's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
ive thought it was maybe some glue also, im just being extra careful, dont wanna fuck up my first DC sub. I'm kinda on the same page as u. I had recently had my gains set with the dd-1 but I can still get them stinky. I'm running mine at 2.8 btw. Idk tho some people have said that dc subs tend to smell at first. (correct me if I'm wrong) mu 10's xl never got stinky at all, i just think its about the person who is building it might have spilled some on the coil, when i got my 15" recones on one of my coils like half of the coil had glue on it already so i know it was going get lil stinky but i been pretty hard on it and havnt got it stinky yet even tho i just have a 3500d1 on them -

XP Series
KnockinthaStreetzof608 replied to jconnway's topic in XS Power Batteries / Chargers! (and other stuff too)
awesome, so they are for like rear batteries, or ones that will be away from heat Yes, they are not designed for being under the hood in a cranking application. Only designed for supplemental power with high capacity in mind. can i still keep the orginal battery and use the xp series batterys in the back and be fine? for example i have a d3400 under there now can i still keep it there and have like 6 of those xp batts in the back and be fine? -

thanks brain i did what you told me,just waiting for daylight to run the new run of postive wire about it since i got remove the box to do the run lol,and see what kind of results i get but yea man it sux 5hr drive there and back wasnt fun espically after the all nighter but i still was thankful i would have said fuck it go home, i wanna rest if i where in your spot but u didnt ur a guy i can depend on, your cool man im glad here in wisconsin there bassheads that are willing to do that i learned alot i hope to contiune as i grow more in this life style (no homo lol) yea i had a xspower 1215 charger but i let my dad borrow it one day and poof now its gone but even tho if they all read pretty much the same i wouldnt think it be a problem they are read around 12.7 brian you know you can't speak for what condition they are in now. If something came loose and he drained the rear batt and didnt know it it could be dragging his voltage down. and no nate honestly i havnt been playing it much since they are fresh recones i been very nice never even went full tilt on them yet once i seen 12's i turn down my bass knob on my aq but i did some rewiring and im buying a new battery charger from sears tomorrow and see how much of a effect it makes on my voltage thanks everyone for the output and adivse you may have given me

My post asks about a 14v "set up" not a 12v set up. My system charges between 16.5v and 16.8v . And on there site it says working voltage 8.5v-16v. I was simply trying to see if anybody has a stable 14v set up! Thanks Tho and it says on 16volts you will get 2,500 watts its on there website

A "14volt battery charges around "16.8v" fixed running 14v on a car thats on is a 12volt setup 12volt battery charges at 14 14volt battery charges at 16 16volt battery charges at 18

check your grounds for the back battery make sure where ever them batteries are grounded to are tight and clean so they have a good connection. well for the grounds i dont have any in the back at all, i did was just run 1/0 wire from my d3400 thats under the hood and put it in the d3100 so i have two runs in total one for postive and one for negative
