  1. that thing is insane.. I want to travel to the states just to see and hear some of these 'big cars'
  2. so I got off my butt and pulled the sub from the wall, they measure the same in width and height. I got 250 mm wide and 127mm high..probably not 100% accurate but at least they are a match
  3. Sorry to drag this back up but it has been brought to my attention that the first lot of level6 I bought were m3 not m2 like I thought. i will pull one out of the wall soon to confirm measurements etc, but I have found the shipping date on the box was November 2012, would that still be m2? As rusty said the m3 have been out around a year or so so that makes it late 2013... any help on dates would be appreciated as I just bought and shipped in 4 m2 motors which wasn't cheap and now I'm hoping I have not wasted my money
  4. I have a 2004 VW Transporter van, from what I can tell ( I need to look into it properly ) it has a gear driven alt not a belt driven. Would it be possible to ship my std alt over from Australia and have it rebuilt to the largest possible output using the factory case? Just trying to get some ideas as to what options are available Cheers
  5. To be honest I haven't touched the car in a while, the weather has been hot humid or rainy for the last three weeks so ive been inside with the ac on as I HATE that kind of weather. Soon as I give it a go i'll post up what happened
  6. mate thanks for the help on that... always full of useful information
  7. cheers, though i may have worded that wrong the eq is the line driver as well if that make sense... it probably isnt technically a line driver but anyway i wont dwell on that lol.. but what you are saying makes perfect sense. this may be a dumb question but would this excess of voltage cause clipping from the amp? as the subs are getting hot and smelly really quickly..
  8. hi was wondering if i was doing something wrong here. i used the dd1 on my head deck, says clean power all the way to max volume. so i set the h/u to max and put the dd1 on my memphis eq/line driver. says clean power all the way to max volume, then i go to the amp and even on no gain it is distorting... amp is a dc 5.0k with solid electrical. any body else have a similar issue? cheers
  9. yeah they suck to ship to Australia, if you could let me know that would be awesome, im looking for at least two more.
  10. kevin Is correct, and to get even more detailed none of the motors through the level 6 series are the same, the M1 / M2 / M3 all had there own motor design. The m3 version is larger than the m2. The m3Lv6 has been out for around a year in a 18" size only. This new frame will allow a 15" version of the Current M3 level 6 thanks for the clarification Rusty, appreciated.
  11. damn well that sucks. really dont want to have to buy another 6 18s, when i could buy 2 and rebuild 4. unless i can get 2nd hand motors
  12. Very good point there. Happy I can add more woofers to my collection
  13. HI i was hoping somebody in the know could answer if there is a difference between the motors of the m2 and m3. basically i have 4 m2 lvl6's now and want some more, im happy to recone my current woofers to match in the soft parts i just need to know if the motors are the same as i dont want to buy a 6-8 new subs when these motors are fine... plus there is bugger all of a market where i am for subs this big so on selling these and buying again is not really viable.... cheers
  14. that is so freaking sweet! I gotta get me some of those for a centre console build
  15. that is awesome! where can I get a copy of this.. ive got a show on sunday and would like to demo this
  16. just read through some of those comments, in general you seem to get a lot of wankers commenting. there are a lot of people that just can't help themselves and run their mouth to try and be a hero. if you don't like, maybe try to ask some questions to understand it.
