  1. CVX's will most likely NOT take 1300 watts each. second, you amp will NOT put out that power. if you want a decent sound and loud, go ported and tune around 30-32 hz. i've heard CVX's sealed and it just didnt sound right
  2. I thought jacob was going to be making a cheaper version with less crossover stuff. so i would assume it would match the SAE line.
  3. I loved my CVR's when i had them. it was a great first system.
  4. I agree on the JBL logo getting you more gigs. My old pavey monitirs sounded much better than my JBL's, but people were more impressed with the JBL logo. or you could be sneaaky and buy some gutted JBL cabs and then make your own custom cab to fit your needs. and that list was a very basic setup (mixer was the one thing i just kinda picked. you can find the pioneers CDJ's and mixer combo on craigslist for a very good price.) if you are going to be doing a lot of moving and possibly even upstairs gigs, def go active cabinets. it may not give you as nice of options as far as adjustments, but much easier to move around.

  6. i still got the homie hookup
  7. x2^2 great power for the money
  8. Bestbuy would charge $130 with a lifetime warranty. I'd personally charge $75 for a close friend or $100 to anyone else.
  9. x2 hella good deal considering they do come with fuse.
  10. that computer power supply will work fine, i have a 300 watt rockford amp used daily off a 500 watt power supply. i just soldered 8ga on and all is well. did notice a jump in my electric bill though
  11. Here is another design. This one is a tline, but it also has a sealed portion to provide back pressure for the sub. would this be effective?
  12. This is a design for two E8's, will be switching to SA-8's sometime in the spring. its a really weird concept with the bending i had to do to make it all fit. feedback is appreciated and welcome, i want suggestions. i am working on a few more designs as well, they are even more exotic let me know what ya think, this is more towards SQ than SPL, but i would like some decent bump as well
  13. I had a 217sx a while back (free amp). I clamped it doing 75ishx2 at 4 ohms, and it would do 110-115x2 at 2 ohms but would get very hot after about 5-10 minutes. Not the worst amp you could get, but there are a few more out there you may enjoy more. made a decent amp for the computer sub in my bedroom though
  14. heat makes air expand? seems logical
  15. i have some of the cheap knu stuff and some tsunami "competition wire" tsunami beats it in flexibility, size, and durability
  16. As far as short replies, I have been known to make posts with as little as 4-5 words, but usually spelled correctly. having cell phones in class with internet is the culprit
  17. i have four, how many you need?
  18. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_13218_...allBay+AK4.html not the best wiring kit in the world, but it should work for your application As far as a box goes, depends on what you listen to. If you want to be pretty loud on rap and hip hop, tune around 35-36hz If you want a flatter response and a little more rumble, tune 30-32hz
