. Grounds were sanded down with a wizz wheel to shiny metal. Power wire comes up pass side & rcas r down drivers side. I did kind of screw up by putting an 18g wire off batt in rear up the drivers side by rcas up to power headunit but I've already disconnected that & ran a new 1 outside of passenger side of car for testing and that didn't do nothing.

Yes. I posted I upgraded all grounds. Got a 2/0 from alt to distro block. A pair of 2/0 engine to frame grounds. Battery is in back, has a pair of 2/0 ground wires going to seperate locations in hatch area. I even ran new power and rca wires outside of car for testing and it didn't helpp at all. I've prolly installed 125+ systems in 15 years and I've never had a noise problem this bad that I can't fix.

I just did it on my last install. I measured the speaker wire resistance without cutting it and then after using the allthread bolt. Vmeter didn't show any real difference plus, I can change ohm loads easier without having to mess with amp. A hole through box with silicone works too, both ways just have different advantages

ii am getting a very bad alternator whine. It started after I put battery in the back and redid system wiring. Car was always quiet before. I've ran 2 extra grounds from battery to chassis with no help. Changed all rcas with no help. Amps r grounded directly to battery. Made 2 new grounds to headunit, didn't help. New 18g power wire to headunit. Ran hu power directly to distribution block. Motor has factory plus 2 grounds from alt to chassis and engine to chassis. Nothing has helped at all. Any other suggestions?

ii got a 92 & I put tein springs & kyb agx shocks. It sat pretty good with 17's but now I got a wall in it & the back sits too low. Rear tire is tucked bout 1 inch below rear quarter panel. I should of bought coilovers like those in the video but @ the time, I thought they were too expensive. Now, a year later, it looks like ill need some coilovers to get it sitting level. Tell him to get alignment checked. I did mine last month and the adjusters r all the way out now and I still need to go more so it don't burn inside of rear tires. There's some adjustable rear upper control arms available that will solve the problem.

I got selenium. They get pretty loud and sound descent but with occassional harshness @ loud levels. Could prolly b fixed by eq but haven't got it figured out yet. I used to have a set of jl $300+ components. The jl sounded slightly better to me but seleniums got a lot more volume.

what kind of fastener?
slow240sx replied to slow240sx's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
The cone will b facing back of seat. Was trying to explain how I was installing it -
Just got level 5 18". Going to b installed vertically in a wall setup. Baffle is 1.5" birch. Should I drill mounting holes and use nut and bolt or just 1.5" wood screws? I'm thinkin wood screws might pull out with the weight.

Transmission problem?
slow240sx replied to JEMT8's topic in Engine and Performance - Anything for that couple extra horses!
Take a pic of the pan & send it to me. I work @ trans shop, might have 1 here. Wouldn't recommend flushing trans, we get a lot of calls from people that just had them flushed & now trans stops shifting. Drop the pan and change filter and gasket. U can then c if magnet has excessive metal or clutch materials in pan -
