  1. Wow you are super far up north, your almost a canadian. There are TNESPL shows near you all the time.Team Def J puts them on in ogdensburg ,12 miles from you. They have shows in gouverneur ny ,about 40 miles from you. I wish they were that close to me,i usually have to drive atleast 2.5 hours one way.
  2. Utica.I know louis and john brood pretty good. This is my first show and dont really know much about compeating That cool, I also compete in TNESPL, I live 2 hours west of syracuse, and 30 mins east of buffalo.I know john and lew pretty well also. What class are you in? what do you have for a system?
  3. where are you in NY? I am and would love to know the same ok let me try this again, where in NY are you guys?
  4. You really think the dealer would have a gas tank for a 99 olds? And with that GM stopped making olds a long time ago. And even if a dealer had one,do you think it would be cheaper than autozone? LOL, sometimes you guys scare me,LOL.
  5. I do have a multimeter, how would i check the voltage at my grounds? I have the battery grounded to the chassis right next to the battery and on the engine block. In the back the ground goes from my amp through the cap to under my rear seat where one of the big bolts goes through the body and I have it sanded to bare metal. put the red lead on a good know 12v source and the black on the ground. I would scrap the cap also. You said you upgraded grounds under the hood? if so i would start there.Put the red on the battery pos. and use the black to check all the grounds, you should have close to the same number at each ground( lets say 12.8v - with car off) If all say the same and you get one that is way off like 10v then there is a problem. Also the more connections you have one 1 run of wire the greater chance you have of losing voltage. If you have 13v at one end of the wire and lets say 10v at the other end,you probably have bad connections along the way( like butt connectors).

  7. Go with the 3500, and run it at 2ohm for now.You can always change subs and imp. later. make sure you have the electrical for the 3500 also .
  8. Ok 1st get a multimeter, then measure the voltage at the amp and radio ,also measure the ground ( make sure you do this with the radio turned up to the level where everything shuts off).I bet you will find a bad connection( most likely a ground). With the truck running you should have over 13v at the battery. If you are not sure how to check for voltage, take it to a shop that can do it for you.Stop wasting money on what you THINK might be wrong, and fix what is wrong. One more thing, just because a ground wire it tight doesnt make it a good ground. You need 12v or more on power as well as on ground.
  9. aww...thats mean ...but funny! aww...thats mean ...but funny! Its funny becasue he is mexican and he is making fun of mexicans! Thats racist, and you should be banned!
  10. I was told they replaced the vfl's 1500 rms 3k peak and up to 10k on a burp.
  11. Whats with all the fuses? Just use 1 in line not 2 in each line.I would swap out the optima for a xs when you get a chance.
  12. Since the web site isnt up dated ,what are the prices on the amps, and can they run at 16-18v? had how will they produce at that voltage and what ohm load? Basically i am asking for specs lol.
  13. FIXED!!! i went to check the ignition wire and it looked fine, until i unplugged it. the metal contact wasnt in the ttap!! im really embarrassed i cant belive i didnt catch that..... but its fixed thanks for everyones input!! im happy all my programming was correct, this is my 4th remote start, and last time on my 07 tbss i had to have jack help me. cars are getting to smart these days! Thats why you dont use t-taps!
  14. 1st of all dont use a resistor .2nd you need to have all the ign wires and accessory wires hooked up ,If you t-tapped them ,make sure its a good connection. Also make sure you have a good ground, ground in the kick panel area.Once that is completed then try and remote start it,all the light on the dash should come on,just like when you start it with the key. If the vehical starts and then shuts off after a couple of seconds, then you need to look into the passlock system. Also setting the r/s to voltage will not work as good as running a tach wire.Dont be lazy ,do it right the 1st time. Also i would not t-tap power and ign wires.what you want to do is strip the insulation away from the wire ina spot about 1 inch, then stick a little screw driver inbetween the wire splitting it making look like an eye. Then strip your wire from the r/s back about 1 inch.Take the wire and put it through the eye ,wrap it around .Squeeze the wires together with pliers ,Solder the wire if you want. Then tape it up.You can also use a little wire tie ,to tie the wires together to insure they will not come disconnected.Let me know if you need any more help.
  15. LOL.Wow, its like having a skylight, infact if they had a sky light they would get more light in and be able to recycle the bottles-now thats GREEN.
  16. Paint booth, wear clothes you dont care about, once you get resin on them they will be ruined .Wear gloves, and a mask .Have fun.
  17. If thats true gratz the most i ever got from a 2.5k rated power was 147.9 75 sqin for a 4 cube box is not a normal ported box. Since you can get so loud with 2k and a couple of 12's, why dont you compete in db drag, and break Terry's record?
  18. seems overkill for JUST 50s...ours didthat with a normal ported box 2 12s and 2krms He is looking for something that will play low,be loud. Just 50's LOL ,try and get that at 40hz. Whats your normal ported box? what was it tuned to? Was your 2k clamped power? Since you cant get 60's in a rex, 50's must be pretty good.
