  1. Sorry...thats not height...the height of the port is 14.5 because your total height of the box is 16 and the port is inside the box sandwiched between the top and bottom of two .75" boards which is 1.5" total. Sorry about the port length there though...messed up. The 21.75 is the length of the port inside the box, not the height. BUT I messed up and got confused, your actual length cuts should be: 15.75" in, then 90 degree bend to a 8.75" piece.
  2. What alot of people do is use bolts to attach the wires through the box. As for the port, like super said, its an 'L' port. Which basically means your port is so long it has to make a 90 degree bend before it hits the back wall. It needs to be the same distance as width of the port from the bend to the back wall. Which means youll take the port in (this is the size boards you need to cut for the port) 21.75", then youll make a 90 degree bend on the port ad go in another 2.75".
  3. I think your confused a bit here dude. lol Driver side means on the driver side of the vehicle. That would be a passeneger side port.
  4. Sorry, kranny is right, subs up port back would be your best option. Ill go back to the drawing board in a bit. Yourautotrim.com for carpet. Edit: Nvm...the box I already put up works still.
  5. 3/4" MDF or Birch, your choice. Birch is more expensive but lighter and I believe slightly stronger, though it wont matter for those 10s. If you're facing them forward, seal them off. If you dont then face them towards the trunk. It will sound louder and better in most cases towards the trunk unless sealed firing forward. That tuning is fine then. The port is a slot port, only one, on the driver side of the box.
  6. Heres what I threw together for you. 16Hx25Wx20D. Port: 14.5Hx2.75Wx26L with 3 common walls. Gives you: 2.66 CF net, lil over 1.3CF per. 40 in port, 15 per. Tuned at about 35 htz. Cut sheet: Top/Bottom: 25"x20" Sides: 14.5"x18.5" Front/Back: 25"x14.5" Only thing id do different is maybe make it just a tad bigger with maybe a little more port. I dont know how the AQs like their port.
  7. What kind of music you listen to? Need to know that for tuning. Is it facing the trunk or towards the front. You wanting slot or aero?
  8. i am being mature? if i wasn't i would be spelling like you... Sack up dude. You're bitching about his spelling yet you're capitalization is terrible. Stop being a bitch and be grateful that you have any of these gentlemen to help you out. sack up? well excuse me partner, why don't you gargle on my sack? and if that is you in your picture to the left... you look like a pencil neck white boy. so i would appreciate it if you left your wangster tough talk out of my thread, thank you! Woah, big boys out of the barn it sounds like. Hes holding those subs like a badass too. DR. subwoofer 2.0 here folks, he may have your bitches and hoes with his excurting 15s on 14v.
  9. This is one of the beefsticks that wont last wrong around here talking out of his ass like he is. Once he gets his head out of his ass (if possible), he may get more help. Seriously...bumping after 8 minutes? Jesus...
  10. WTF is this? Anyone know? WTF is with them pulling the kid to the ground and kicking him too. The kid looks to be (albeit terribly overweight for his age) mentally handicapped and they treat him like that? This video is the reason animals eat their young. One thing we should have picked up from them.
  11. Your HU goes to 35. Playing at 33 is probably clipping. You clearly forgot to check it with an oscope because clipping starts at the beginning of the spectrum. From your source. Starts with CD player/ipod => Headunit => Linedriver/EQ/processor => amps. Amps arent the only thing that causes clipping, but most thing that is where it is derived. Check your HU with an oscope and never go over X volume or you'll be clipping. As for low notes & your subs not moving as much, what is your subsonic set to?
  12. I guess he completely disregarded my first post. thats what happends when you tell people something they dont wanna hear even if its the truth fyi sitting a box where the backseat is unless its a wall sux!! I would be able to get way louder with the subs in the trunk Another thing I never got. You build in the backseat (which normally blows...) but dont want to wall? So what, you can see out the rear?
  13. It cuts the output from the deck. Basically think of it not as turning bass up, but more turning it down. When its all the way up, its the same as if it weren't there. Exactly, great to have when the cops are around and you dont want to have to turn the music down too.
  14. I have an RF bass knob, and as said, it is for bass boost. I use it and am sure im clipping sometimes. But that being said im using a lvl 5 and if I kill it, it's just time to recone from 12" to 18". Do what everyone else said, get a remote gain knob.
  15. The only real loss would be that HP is going down and not Dell. Dell is ftfl. HP is meh now? But used to make quality shot before they took intothe $300 shot computer fad.
  16. Whats the tuning of the box to be able to play that low? or are you bottoming out or can you on the lvl 6?
