Well depending on box rise, you could end up looking at closer to a 4ohm load. Not quite 4ohms, but closer to 4 than 2.67-3. What is that amp rated to do at 4ohms??? That would give you a better idea of how much power you'll really be getting from it. Do you have the right wire size, battery power, and alt to support that much power also??

I have a single cab 02 Silverado, so I know how much of a pain it is to get good bass from that small of a space. I ended up doing 1 12 behind my pass seat as well, but with a 3cuft box. I took it out for a bit, but I'm gonna re-install it here soon, this coming week I hope. The only thing we can really do with having a truck like that is either go with one 12, one 15 if you have the space and don't mind making the passengers scrunch up to fit there, or a few 8's. You could always remove the center console, but then you get into having to fabricate things and more $$$. If you're working towards a daily thing, i'd say try to find one 15 or do a few 8's to go back there.

For me, when I used the TL last time...it was alot colder out then it was the first time. I think it was around 60 F the first time and around 35-40 F the second time. I gained 2+ db without changing anything. But I also didn't crank on the sub before I tested. It was noticably colder to the touch the second time too. And I don't have any damage to mine.

I had to do the same thing when I got rims and tired for my truck. I went the biggest I could without a chance of the tires rubbing.

With something like that..you may be better off looking onto BatCaps...seriously. I don't know if anyone makes a replacement alt for that car. Other than a stock replacement, and you need more power handling.

They're not cheap brand new..but thay stay in good working condition over time as long as they're not abused....i.e. thrown around/dropped alot. I've never used one, but I do many people that have and still do use them...they swear by them too.

I would judge on sound quality too...like I said at first. But I'm not a judge, so they might do it differently. Stick with well known, quality brands, and you can't lose man.
