4 Subs 750 Watts Each Or 3 Subs 1000 Watts Each
Dale replied to A&W ROOTBEER's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
for that power...I'd prolly go with BL's also....fully loaded, of course. I just don't think Qs will take the power -

i think you should save up and get another amp. never under-estimate the difference it'll make if you drive your subs with more than enough CLEAN power -

how about running that sundown at a lower impedence in order to get the power you need for 4 subs? -
what would be even better is some T/S parameters lol

I have my 15" L7 in a 6 cu ft (net) box. It's just as loud as my 2 15" Audiopipes were, prolly a little louder. I shit you not. They were in a 7 or so cube box -

I mean it'll work, don't get me wrong, but it won't be as loud. Trust me. -

sounds good to me. the only thing im iffy about is the 12 cubes. I would either up it to around 16 cubes....or lose a sub. Space is just that important to a sub -

800 W RMS a piece or total? I would aim for around 16 cubes net -

looks like the port will come close to the back of the sub. I prolly would have done a folded port. Nice box, though man. Any more pics?

your alternator is not charging properly. make sure your belt is nice and tight. if your belt is already tight....you may want to check that alt

Alt And Wire Question
Dale replied to BASS14's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.
remember, you alternator (or any source of current) will only put out as much current as your vehicle DRAWS. So if your amps and everything will draw more than a 100 to 150 amps or so, then you may have a problem on your hands. Be sure to upgrade to 1/0 asap with a 200 amp alt. -
I still say 1/0. Sure, 2G may be able to take the current, but the resistance will be higher-especially with significant distance.
