an easy program for testing your RAM is memtest86. You burn it to CD and then set your boot order to #1 --> CD ROM When you restart your computer with the disc in your drive, it will automatically run and test your RAM. If it comes up with errors, then you (more than likely) have failing RAM. Also if you have overclocked your computer, that could be causing some problems.

Many ppl get viruses because of their network settings.....like having File and Printer sharing on...classic example

the autozone alts will be inferior to aftermarket high output alts. in aftermarket alts, like dom's, higher quality regulators are used and the alt is pretty much designed for the rapid current draws of an audio system. three identical alts can be charging the same battery bank. if i'm not mistaken Steve's hoe is set up like that....outputs from both 300+ alts going to batteries in the back.

liquid cooling becomes a thing of interest when you're a heavy overclocker. it's just more efficient than air-cooling. and as stated above, you have to read about this stuff. furthermore, why 4 gigs of RAM? if you're running anything other than a 64bit OS, you're not even gonna use that much ram...cuz it won't be able to address it. i recommend 2 gigs and a faster processor. 2Ghz won't cut it IMO.

Doesn't matter if you don't have 2 Gigs of RAM. That's why you have virtual memory...it'll be slower, but it'll work.

firefox also has security holes. it just seems to be more secure than explorer simply because more adware target explorer.

if you want to be able to overclock your processor significantly, you need to invest in proper cooling....namely water-cooling. Highly overclockable RAM is a plus. how much you can overclock really depends on the chip. different chips will yield different overclocking potential. but you can sure push them to the limit with the right hardware. I have gotten my Dual core X2 2.4Ghz to a stable operating frequency of 3.0Ghz! but I only have air-cooling so pretty soon the heat caught up to me. but if you have any questions or need help building your system i'd be glad to help
