  1. You just use one of each, one positive terminal and one negative terminal, it doesnt matter whether it's the inner ones or the outer ones, just use one + and one -
  2. yep this works, it will also expand more.. expanding foam likes moisture
  3. Now i get what you're saying haha, you're talking about the speaker output terminals! Yes its very common for monoblock amps to have terminals like that, it just makes it easier to hook up multiple subs/subs with multiple voicecoils basically the two positive and two negative are the same thing.. internally the amp will only have one positive and one negative output (monoblock).
  4. Once i remember Mike @maxxonics saying that by dropping below 1 ohm on the Brutus series amps will yield very very small power increase.. IMO i wouldn't run them at that low of an ohm, i would really expect something to blow... and you probably wouldn't even get any louder if it worked anyway
  5. As long as you leave one side of the bag wide open, and you start filling from the back of the bag, you should manage... as long as the foam gets plenty of air you will have no problems
  6. Are you talking about amps with triple power inputs like on the DC audio 9k? It so you can run more power wire into the amp
  7. i just checked and sonix have http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_18911_Infinity-Reference-6832cf.html
  8. you could always make a mdf adapter for a 6 1/2 if you dont find anything you like
  9. i would choose anything infinity over those any day of the week, my friend has a set of Infinity perfect 60.7s and they sound amazing
  10. Tried the same thing as well, it did eventually harden but it barely expanded to double the size of the can and took forever to dry. The spray-foam ideally needs moisture and plenty of air to work properly.
  11. Well you could unplug the stereo and plug it back in to reset it, thats a start
  12. So you set your gains on the amplifier and then the headunit died? was the headunit working right after you set the gains?
  13. TL:DR haha i joke, i was just wondering if you ever thought of doing the install yourself, or maybe asking a guy on here to design you a box and build it yourself.. you would save a lot of money which you could spend on equipment instead One thing about the JBL sub is that your final load is going to be 3 ohms (Dual 6ohm) so you're not going to get the full potential of that amp. take your time to make a decision because the worst thing is to rush and to be unhappy with the results
  14. it definitely is possible, but there is only one way to find out gl
  15. i used two fans in an install, i put them both blowing across the amps and they were really effective. i wired them to a relay that switches on with the remote wire and i got the power from the amp's power wires
  16. i've got 100s of o-scopes in my block at college but i'm always too shy to ask to borrow one to set my amps :/
  17. i doubt you have no amperage.. normally when a battery is dead it will sit below 12v... and what are you testing your current with, you cant test it with a multimeter
  18. if its glue failure it could be fixable, but i guess when you pull it out you will find out
  19. it sounds like spider issues.. did you check to see if the spider is starting to break away from the basket?
  20. i would go with a hifonics brutus, the BRZ1700 seems to suit your needs.. i had a kenwood 8104D for about a year in my car, i was happy with it for the price and after plenty of abuse it still works, it used to heat up and go into protect every once in a while but only after beating on it for a while with the gain prob up to much
  21. alternator whine imo is hard to find the exact cause, i usually do the following -ground headunit direct to chassis -ground LOC to where headunit is grounded (if the LOC doesnt have a ground, just twist some wire around the RCAs) -speakerwire wont pick up engine whine, RCAs WILL so keep them away from power wires.. at least 6 inches
  22. possibly as well, it would probably help to put photos or more info about your install, for example do you have 1 set of rcas or 2 going to your amp, if you have one set which is what it sounds like, are you using y splitters so that you have all 4 inputs in your amp with rca's in them i've never wired an LOC with the wires mixed up but imo if you wire Left and Right both switched its just going to make your amp out of phase with there rest of the system, which is bad but your speakers would still work, first thing i would do is double check your wiring, look at diagrams and purchase a dmm before you start making costly mistakes
  23. good job i really want to do this as well but it's not really a priority atm, you're going to cut the hole for the button after i'm guessing?
  24. seems to be very strange, did you try to swap the rca's over to check if you have any rca issues?
