I have a few questions for Jacob about the 3000's. I was wondering how to get ahold of him? I am really interested in running a pair of them at 1ohm each and I was wondering if my upgrades will be enough? My Plan: Mechman 250amp Alt 4 Kinetik HC2400's or Powermaster D3100's (Still need to talk to Scottie) 2runs of Knu Konceptz 1/0 Power to the batts 2runs of Knu Konceptz 1/0 Ground to the batts 1/0 from batt to batt, then 1/0 from batts to each amp Should I be tough enough to pound them daily at 1ohm or do I need more? Should I run them daisy chained and gain matched or strap them at 2ohm? Subs are 4 15" dual 1ohms.

It's not hard on them at all and your friend is right it saves the clutch. Like Bill said in a Big Rig or Grain Truck you only use the clutch when you stop. If they used it every gear you'd replace the clutch all the time. How it works is your not pushing the clutch pedal so the throwout bearing isn't disengaging the clutch so you've always got sort of "direct drive" so the clutch can't wear if it isn't being used. Then the syncronizers and everything inside the tranny are designed to work that way.

It's not bad. Chew some kind of gum and you'll be ight. The worst part of it all is your ears popping and it's nowhere near as bad if your chewing gum.

Most Headunits with a screen have only a single sub RCA. But like everyone else said. Use the y and be easy. I'd put the y behind the dash and run traditional rca's back, look cleaner.

It looks nothing like a bandpass to me. And if you all want to get technical almost every setup is bandpass. Ie. If you have a ported box in your vehicle and you roll down the windows you ported the cabin so it is technically a 6th order. But that is not for this thread.

He said they were in phase, which means if one side pushes out the other side does too, and if one side pushes in the other does to. If they were out of phase, which they are not one side would come out and the other would go in, causing huge cancellation.

Each one is different because it's like everything else, it's nearly impossible to get them exact. Especially in electronics.cThere are alot of variables, so each one is different, just like fingerprints.

You guys are right about the TL. But I wouldn't use it for the numbers I put it in for the spectrum analyzer.

If they are dual 2ohm I would run a pair of amps at 1ohm each. Or a pair of amps strapped at 2ohm. Like say a pair of Orion HCCA-2400D's. They do 1200RMS @ 1ohm and you could get a pair strap them and wire your subs at 2ohm's and see 2400 @ 2ohm. Just a little over your RMS so you can be easy with your gains and have a nice sounding setup.

Don't hate the BXi line. It was more than likely user error. Not to say your dumb but I've seen a bunch of people kick the BXi line in the ballz and it was user error or something.

The name came about when I first joined ROE and I had Audiobahn subs. So I just kept it for every forum because then you know who is who. From the old days, a Hifonics BX1500D powering 2 Audiobahn AW120T's at 2ohm.
