  1. electric fans to add to your list above.. with that motor you can do just about anything you can think of... fuel efficient isn't going to be in it's vocabulary though.
  2. I can't remember, honestly it's been so long.. I just email mechman and they take care of me. They are the only ones that carry the parts for my truck which I believe has a 6g case. DC doesn't seem to want to touch every time I try to get a quote.
  3. pretty much everything that isn't a GM 5.3 is custom made... do you know which alt case you have? I believe they run like other ford models with the 3g, 4g. and 6g. the case seems to make a big difference on the price.
  4. yeah they haven't had any for a LONG time... you have to pay attention to the for sale threads and grab them as they pop up.
  5. I've never been shown a standard coil from the old style SSD's. The Copper Coils are interchangeable, but the Flatwing (which this one is not) and standard are not interchangeable between resistance.
  6. I think this is a copper coil, can someone help me identify it to make sure? THANKS!
  7. That don't work on mobile. OP- I found if click the little dot to the left of the title it will take you to the last post you read in that thread. But I guess that doesn't help if your looking at a new thread with a lot of pages and you want to skip around or to the last page. Obviously....
  8. It's going to depend greatly on application, electrical, amps, space, box. There are so many variables that need to be taken into account to even be able to compare the installations.
  9. I have an SSD motor: Ignore her.. she was jealous at the time. My motor is all black.. I was wanting to by another motor to match this one and recone to 10's. All the motors I'm finding for sale look different: Is there any difference in the motors other than the color? They all seem to be the same to me.. but I'm sort of noobish about it still..
  10. I'm assuming the update didn't get all the bots... Edit: and now with a history lesson?
  11. we got some aswell, here and there 2-5inches, this last few days its actually been sticking around but not close to what you guys posted above That picture is sort of sexy.......
  12. Looking for something around $200 or so. maybe even something that can do 1500wrms. DC Audioque not sure what else is out there. I have funds ready if the deal is right. Something that does rated and is relatively efficient.
  13. Copy the IMG link from Photo bucket, and paste into whatever thread your trying to upload. edit:
  14. neither of those amps will do rated. You can pick up a descent 2krms amp for about the same price point though. Look into Crescendo, AQ, the new SKAR line. Those are all made in the same build house I believe. they also do a little more than rated.
  15. They don't have a phone number, just the website. To get a shipping quote you have to hit the checkout button after you add to cart, enter you information and hit check out again and it will give you the final total for the purchase shipping included.
  16. Positives to positives negatives to negatives. Leave your factory wiring alone if that's your plan and run positive and negative wires from the appropriate studs on your alts to you batteries.
  17. So your alt should be made to power those accessories and a little bit more and the batteries will hold the reserve for you so you can ram on it and not have to over work everything else.
  18. You don't really ge an alternator to match the amperage of battery. Your alternator provides the amperage for the system you amps. So you get an alternator built compared to how many amps your stereo and vehicle pull all at the same time at the peak demand: then generally ad 30 to 40 amps to be safe. I hope that helped a little?
