Oh man its always BYOB in Db Drag and majority of the veteran competitors know we ALWAYS BYOB. LOL now I think about it I'm sure a good fraction of the people on SMD know we do.

With all the shit going on in my life I haven't been on SMD in a couple of days. So who's coming to Fresno. I know we're going back down. Its gonna be HOT!!!!!! Its at the Fairgrounds in Fresno hopefully I can get a 12 pack in there.

OK well I got this email that I had a new message on my myspace page. So I went to go see who it is. It was from the kid next door. Man kinda crazy but, its pretty cool at the same time its your next door nabor brian... i just wanted to say thanks again for letting me barrow your tools for changing the water pump in my car, and i can't belive i've been liveing here 4 months now and had no idea you guys are the TEAMBASSICK !!! in washington you guys are like ledgends! my cuzin justins always like man if i had the money i'de do exactly the same setup teambassick is running... haha thats so cool! you should see my stereo system haha you'd be embarassed to have me as a nabor. i have an old 1993 sony deck, the original 5 1/4 speakers from 1987 in the front and the 5 1/4 in the back were so worn an old they like turned to dust and fell apart so i took those out and couldnt get any speakers that fit in the stalk place so i got some dual 6 inch speakers inverted a cup noodle box from costco and made it into a speakers box to hold the speakers! haha its such a joke and mess at the same time... but hopefully soon im just gonna get some halfway decent fusion speakers, subs and amps and do it right this time... haha i like how you set off the alarm systems with your s10 thats sick! peace... brian Obviously this put a smile on my face. LOL

Car not fixed yet its sitting in my garage. Hopefully he'll have the correct axles today. No biggie really but, would be nice to clean my garagee. You gonna come up to the Santa Clara show or ride out with Greg to Fresno?

The aero ports isn't to far what I was thinking. I'm sure its shocks too. I think the best situation for a trunk like that is a band pass box. 4th order, which would consist of building a sealed chamber for the woofers to play out of firing into a ported chamber. So basically the only sound your gonna hear is the sound from the ports which will be ported through the rear of the car.

I second upgrading the whole thing. I'm thinking the same thing for my S10 when my 2.8 goes out. Thats sounds about right. However, A small block chevy is a small block chevy. Heads and blocks for the most part are intechangeable. I've got a 283 block with 350 heads and an intake off of 327 in my impala right now. The 305 is gonna make you correct on the top end because of emissions and year but, the bottom end (block,heads and below) can be a 350. Emission wise they'll never know the difference as long as you keep all the smog stuff.

If your stuck on an Astro probably not. Your gonna have to go to a referee station to make sure you have all the smog equipment for that motor. I suggest that you lose the bottom end of the 305 though and just keep the pulleys, intake and smog stuff and go get a 5.7 crate long block and bolt that in instead. They'll never know weather its a 305 or 350 under all the smog and crap. Now if your willing to ditch the Astro, just go find any older diesel vehicle out there and convert over.
