  1. Now, I'm hoping that would work. I can't promise how it will turn out, because I have never left one output open like that...but in theory it should be fine. Try this website and look around. It has an ohm load calculator that you can manipulate things and find out final ohm loads.
  2. So for the 8 ohm speakers, you are gonna have to use 8, not 10. Take four of them and wire all your negatives and positives together, then wire those to one output on the amp. That gives you 4 speakers with a 2ohm load. Do the same for the other 4, and you have two of your amps outputs used for all of your 8 ohms speakers. They are 50watts rms, and the amp is 250watts, so the speakers are just barely overpowered...not enough to harm them. And I'd do the same thing with the tweeters...gives you a 2ohm load for all 4 tweeters, and they are powered just right. You will have one extra output on the amp, but you should be good.
  3. So, someone help me understand the internally bridged part. I have a DVC 1ohm sub. If I wire each voice coil to a seperate output, then you are saying the amp automatically wires it up parellell, making it a .5ohm load?
  4. Okay, so I got my instant netflix playing through my xbox. Well, my connection isn't the best, so every couple of minutes, the movie is paused and it does the whole "your connection speed has changed, finding playback quality" bullshit. It will go from best to worst back to best again, which is quite annoying during a 2 hour movie. Is there anyway i can set the video to play at a lower quality on the random days my connection wants to be jumpy like this, so that my movie isn't paused every few minutes, or is this something I just have to live with?
  5. How is that your faullt...yeah, a fuse blows for a reason, nd you shouldn't have put a new one in w/out figuring out why the first one blew, but u did the same thing 90% of the people on this forum would've done. Id contact the company with some hate mail, nd most of the time they will make the problem right.
  6. Headed up there for a day or two with the family, and was seeing if anybody up that way might know some cool spots to go to, or where all the fun shit is. Just kinda wanted to stay out of the way of all the college drinking parties.
  7. Get you some 1in" drop blocks, and take a leaf spring out...you can just go with bigger blocks for more drop, but the 1in should be able to fit with the stock u-bolts...any bigger and you may have to buy longer ones.
  8. Def. shouldn't have been posted on an open forum bro...shoulda kept that on the team forum or something. Makin rick, thor, and rusty look bad on that one.
  9. Instead of wiring the speakers in a series/parallel, you could wire them all in parallel. You got 6 voice coils total, each at 4ohms a piece. If you wire all of them to your amp in parallel, that would be 4/6, which would give you a .6666666 ohm load. It would be much easier, not to mention probably cheaper, to find an amp capable of producing that power at .5 ohms.
  10. LOL...I'm a cop, and we get to go on some calls with EMS, and alot of it is pretty interesting...not to mention the calls that we get too. I absolutely love the night shift when working in first responders and public safety!
  11. If that doesn't work, try this website, click here. I always use these guys now instead of ebay, and haven't had any problems from them.
  12. ^^^do this...if you switch the ballast, and the flicker switches sides, its def. the ballast.
  13. Dude, it is absolutely the ballast. No doubt about it, the ballast. I've had the same problem, ordered 3 ballast that fucked up, and the 4th one worked, then my bulb went out. But, I'm gonna guess you are ordering off of ebay, and that is a serious issue with ordering from there...by the time they ship from across the country, shit breaks. Order from a reputable store that has warranties and will actually replace shit if its broken.
  14. ^^^True...this is how I do it. I get a "countersink" bit, which actually makes a hole a couple of cm deep that are just bigger than the screw head, leaving the screw below the surface of the wood. I pull them out one line of screws at a time, route my edges, then put them back in, put a little bondo over them. The bondo works if you are not covering in carpet, but painting or covering in rhino lining. Just gives it a smooth look.
  15. Class D amps are always more efficient. You're A/B amps are gonna pull more on the electrical to get the same power...always go with the class D's.
  16. I got one FI BTL 15" powered by a sundown saz2000d. I'm about to get me another 15, and see if I can get a little more. But honestly, this video does this car no justice. Not tryin to toot my own horn, but honestly, I'm getting like 2in of flex out of the door panel. The camera just isn't picking it up.
  17. Smoke is right, its not the amount, its the principle of the thing. But first of all, $5 isn't gonna get him anything but a slap on the wrist. If you wanna teach him a lesson, look up your state laws on petit and grand larceny. There is a certain limit like $500 or $1000 dollars that makes a difference b/w 30 days, and at least a year in prison. Get you some survailance, get a certain amount out of the bank, leave it in the bank envelope, and leave it in your desk. Get him some serious time. Make sure you take note of all the serial numbers on the bills first, if you want any chance of getting the money back though. Hell, if you can't spare that much at one time, do it over time, like $5, $10, and $20 at a time. Once he takes over that grand larceny amount, get all your surveilance tapes together, and go to your local police dept.!
  18. I already have one of each, but I'm looking to really move some air, so I wanted to double my output. Can anyone help me out, and let me know if you have one for sell, or know someone?
  19. It seems kinda wierd, but has anyone experienced a sudden rise in youtube subscribers in the past 24 hours? I mean, I know I don't have alot of subscribers, but my numbers have nearly doubled in the past 24 hours. The only thing different I did was add some demo vids to my build log, and add one simple word to my tag list "demo".
  20. I have never heard a 40 series on a 4 banger...I've always run the 40 series on my 6 and 8 cylinders though, and was always happy with it. But i'm running magnaflow on my 2.0 atm, and it sounds really good. Heck, try it an see. Not like its gonna cost you a fortune...but make sure you do it right!
  21. Yeah, i tried this...actually posted up a similar post, got the same advice, and tried it anyways. STUPID on my part...it doesn't work...different wiring schematics. Got alot of smoke from the gain knob.
  22. Seems kinda pointless...not like we can get access to your car to find out what a visible switch does unless you let us in your car, or if you have any illegal drugs on you or in the car in plain view. Plus, if you weren't up town bumpin your shit as loud as possible, and gettin stopped for loud music, you wouldn't have the problem anyways.
  23. Any common store such as autozone, advanced, orielly's, or a local audio shop. If you don't know the schematics for the wiring, i'm sure the person you buy it from should be able to show you how, or you can pm me nd ill put up a quick vid on how to do it for ya!
