99% of the time the resonate frequency of a vehicle is kinda high. 46-55hz area. IMO thats too high of tuning for a daily driver. Why is your vehicle louder with the windows down vs up? Port... Not enough port volume will not allow your woofers to properly unload in some cases. Rolling down the window is like making your vehicle a larger box, and allowing your woofers to unload easier.

I left a comment on your youtube video. But I just wanted to make sure you see it, your amp is hooked up wrong! Stetsoms do not have 2 rca inputs. They have a input and a output which are both right next to eachother. You seem to have your RCA's from your headunit plugged into the amp in the red (which is output for strapping amps) and the white (which is the input).

Im sure it would be a louder score if you did a burp (prob the freq that made the whipers move) instead of that sine wave. Youll be saving a little on battery power for 1, and for 2 the freq change in the wave is so fast that the wave doesnt play long enough for the meter to record a full score. Usually about 3-5 seconds long. Just an idea for nextime you meter.

I see it as a scammer just because some uneducated person may buy it for some odd reason when you can go out and get brand new and better for less. Im sure if you bought it from that guy, and you buddy comes around and says cool, I just got the same one for 30 bucks, you wont feel scammed? I dont get why people are the way they are when they sell something... I got a text from Aaron T today looking for a cheap cd player because his lady friends car got broke into and the radio was took. I told him I got a Pioneer DEH-P3600 I could sell him for $30 with the dash kit, and wire harness if they are both correct for her car (which they maybe because it s a gm and the radio came out of a gm). Otherwise I told him $25ish if they wont fit and he wants only the radio I came with these prices after looking online at ebay and pioneers site. The radios suggusted retail was $190 when it came out in 2004!!(which means its probolly around 150-175 to goto a authorized shop and buy it or for instance crutchfield. Theres nothing special about the radio. 2 sets of 2v pre outs, EEQ, Mosfet 50x4, multicolor lcd, flipdown detachable face, am/fm/cd, 2 way crossover. It dont even play MP3s. ok, well until you clamp your amp and check for your rise, you wont know actually output. I know with his rise, he will see a good 2 ohm load min, even if the sub is wired in parallel for a 1 ohm nominal load. The rfs, are rated at 14.4, if his electrical system is not the greatest, he will have noticable voltage drop. Currently im running 1 3000 wrms amp at 1.5 nominal with a rise of 3 ohms @ 35hz and clamped it at just a tad above 1600wrms... Impedance rise plays a big part of output power, obviously your still not understanding that I guess. Im done with thread. PS: To the op your sub will be fine, just make the box about .5 cubed smaller then the required specs by kicker with 12-16 square inches of port per cubic foot. I dont see any problems arising. Just make sure to set your gain with a digital multimeter to ensure your not clipping the amp.

Rockford amps are not rated at 12.8 and 12.9 volts. they are cea compliant which is 14.4 volts. http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/Rockfo...Power_T20001bd/ and even on sonicelectronix it says cea 2006 compliant (ie 14.4 volts) Less voltage like 12.8 or 12.9 means less output power (watts) and I still think, wait know that in the properly built box, after impedance rise and voltage drop, and a properly set gain (no clipping) the sub will be fine.

now that i think of it, 1 amp is a spare. But if you even knew on how much power lets say a rf 20001bd puts out you would be amazed. sure the birthsheets say 2-3krms, but its actually not doing that power. Most these factory ratings are at a steady 13.8-14.4 volts depending on manufactures, and they use a 80-100hz tone for testing. So then my question is, how many people have that great of electrical to keep that voltage up at that point full tilt. Then my next question is, who plays 80-100hz, or even 60-70 hz? Now Im going to take this a step farther, and say just because your subs are wired at a 1ohm nominal load at your amp, doesnt mean your amp is playing at 1 ohm. There is impedance rise from your box, so your speaker(s) can be playing from 1-6 ohms at times depending on the frequancy of the tone being played. Making your 2000wrms amp a measly 1500 watts.

thats kind of bad for the woofers. The dustcap actually encloses the speaker from the inside of the box. without the dust cap the speaker wont cool effectivly by sucking the air into the coil and back out, with the dustcap on the driver, it kind of acts as a vacuum effect to cool the coil.

thats why I said in the proper box, when powering a sub with more then its rated rms power, a smaller sized box will be better for the sub. or vice versa for a underpowering a sub, to use a bigger box. L7s can take a beating, my buddy Joel has a 2nd gen eclips with 6 l7 10s and 3 stetsom 7kds for his daily driver.
