  1. I think 80 is as big as you can go for agu, but Im not completly sure. But, I dont know what type of fuse block he has. I know on my 2 fuse blocks, they use 2 fuses each, Im running two 150amp midi's in each block, gonna upgrade to 175 or 200 ampers tho.
  2. heh, i live on message boards at night til 4am. play a little counterstrike, eat a lil food, roll up one or 2, and just kick back and relax everynight after work. I call it my "routine". But I would check over your wires first before putting a new fuse in, and maybe upgrade to a better fuse block if your using glass fuses (agu) I prefer ANL and MIDI fuses.
  3. So another words you are saying that you where not cranking it louder then normal, or running it at a lower then its ohm load. So that lead me to believe that either something grounded out, or maybe the fuse just was old and took a crap. Id try a new 300amp fuse in it, and see how it does. Also check all your power cables for any loose connections, frays, or even any rubber casing missing around the wire. The amp requires 300 amps of fusing, so I wouldnt go bigger then 300 amp unless like I said you where running it at 1 ohm which requires more amperage. gl
  4. wtf -30 without wind chill? Where the phuck are you? antartica? I kinda like the probes, at least the gt v6 manuals. Learned how to drive in my friends when I was 13 Otherwise them 4 banger autos suck pretty bad
  5. Something either arched, and or ran too much current through the fuse. What are you running your amp at? Its rated 2 ohm, or 1 ohm? Where you banging on it hard, or just normally like you always would and never had a problem. Never jump to a larger fuse, until you know what your problem is, otherwise you may end up going to big and then instead of having to replace a cheap fuse, youll have to replace a expensive battery, alt or amp
  6. ford... so your damned if you do and damned if you dont....
  7. probes are praticly all mazda. mazda engine and trans, mazda designed the body, at least thats what i heard
  8. Theres one I use to have on cassette and it was the funniest crap ever. I think it was the lil skits between songs. Last time a few years ago I tried to get it from amazon, and took forever so i cancelled my order http://www.amazon.com/Excuse-Sonny-Know-Wh...d/dp/B000008N2Z I wish I could find a place to buy it, and download it from the site.. There was also something about trunk funk that I liked, and wish I had it again. I pratically have all the songs, but I think the ones on that cd where redone with more bass. http://www.amazon.com/Trunk-Funk-Various-A...8669&sr=1-3 and I still got a copy of the old school players album, a few good classics remaked. http://www.amazon.com/Old-School-Bass-Play...8758&sr=1-1
  9. Yea theres a powermaster in the hoopty This is one of kinetiks charger, but I have yet to see ANY info on it besides what was posted here. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...mp;#entry231390 This is another kinetik charger. I think this is the charger that is in the hoopty. http://www.jegs.com/i/Powermaster/713/1005...-1/795652|10367 Ive been looking for a nice charger for my new batts, I think the pm is the way to go Also those power supplies are also good if you intend to use your vehicle for show, and where playing the radio for periods of times.
  10. Those are not really battery chargers. They are power supplies. They are to be used for in store demo units such as audio displays. While they can charge batteries I would not use them to keep my batteries charged since they do not seem to be a agm charger. Kinetik has their own AGM Battery charger out now I guess, which is actully used to charge batteries.
  11. I got no idea why your fuses keep blowing on your distro block, unless your using the same block and fusing for both the amps. The t10001bd is fused at 150 amps, and if thats not blowing, it leaves me to believe cheap fuses on the distro. I also think your gain is a bit high on your sub amp, I dont even have mine 1/4 the way up and its still to far up..
  12. Im sorry, just cant get over how big that box is... I could comfortably sleep inside it!!! LoL
  13. wtf lol? does chevyboy know a pornstar??
  14. wow... 11 cubes? lol whats it tuned to and how many square inches of port? That is huge for 1 sub in a non spl environment. wow I thought I was at a bit with 6.5 cubed for one 18.
  15. powermasters are cheaper priced then kinetiks if you buy from the right dealers and get free shipping.
  16. Is there any cooling on the sub? I know when I free aired my 9518 it sounds like the sub is making funny noises, but its just the air being sucked in and out of the cooling vents, which is normal. Before I sent my first sub in for the recone, part of the wiring wrapped around the coil came off, and it would bounce around and slap against the inside of the magnet making a ting type sound (the sub had over 5 years play time on it, but still played).
  17. Theres your problem..... and your gain should be around 1/4 the way up, maybe a lil more, but no where even close to HALF!!!! Since the Input sensitivity is 200mV -6V. And what size is your box?
  18. Number of things. headunit could be clipping, giving a dirty signal through your rca's. gain up to high. bass boost up to high. What amp do you have, 1500 rms at 4 ohms is quite impressive.
  19. like a little extra dripped oil on the outside of the engine. Much shouldnt get into the engine unless you drive around with the hood open but id leave it plugged back in like you did
  20. Digital volt meter is about the only way, and see what ohm each coil is. If you got dual 4 ohm coils, and you have a coil reading signifigantly higher you have a burnt coil, and even tho its still working, it will fry soon. If everything is fine, then chances are you are clipping or bottoming out so turn the gain down a bit.
  21. Is that the waterpump in this picture? just looking at how whatever that is bults up, and where the leak is (id say that is not a head gasket). Which Im seeing green and assuming its antifreeze comming from the waterpump gasket. That is looking like the oil breather. It should be connected but if its not, it wont hurt anything except getting a dirty engine. Ive heard that the those 4.9s like what you got are the 1st generation northstar engines. Not sure if its true. They are pretty strong motors, the caddy engine that Id stay away from is the 4.1 v8 (4100). Those things are notorious for problems, had one in my first car I bought 86 seville. I dont think Id be too worried about it. Just keep an eye on your coolant and oil.
  22. sounds like a messed up coil starting to unravel or come loose, or even possibly rubbing. Tap on the side of the cone when the stereo is off, and just push the cone in and out a bit, if you hear it, its the coil.
  23. how high where you reving the car? That sounds like the rev limiter (it kicks in to prevent your from reving the engine at 5-6K rpm's which is harmful to the engine. I see more green then brown, Im looking at the pics, and its almost looking like maybe the waterpump gasket. All of my caddys Ive had dripped a little oil here and there. If your really concerned, Id do a oil change, and check your oil for antifreeze. If theres no antifreeze in the oil, you will know that you dont have a cracked head which is a bonus
