It still plays, I could go longer, but whats the point of it? I was anticpating smoke, but i seen none, was very dissappointed and happy at the same time I use to have 220 in my garage, but I guess I took it out, so Im on the hunt for a 220 outlet to "try" and fry it. I dont remember the conversion for figuring out how many watts a 120 volt socket is, but Im sure its 3000+ watts constant at 60 hertz.

But if your feeling like the fixer upper guy, just peal off the dustcap and shim out the gap in the voice coile with some small pieces of plastic (like overhead transparency papers). Then reglue the spider back down.. You will not want to use an epoxy to glue the spider back down. if it was a fresh recone job then maybe, but being that your surround is still glued down it may get off centered somehow while the epoxy dries where as the ca glue will bond immeditly when sprayed with activator.

Man, im really susprised that kit didnt come with mounting feet or mounting hardware. The ballasts should be completly sealed and water tight if they are any kind of decent. Ive never heard of them before, but they look some what decent. The zipties is just ghetto thats all. Lol

Not really impressed bro. Sorry. I usally see a lot of workmanship out of you. Took all that time making custom mounting brakets for no reason, but yet still use zip ties to secure the ballast. Looks alright I guess.

I dont know models of my head, but viper, clifford, and avital all have a few new models comming out. Talk to your rep, I want to say some are shipping november and the others are jan, but we didnt even get the packs from the rep, he kept it when he left which is weird, like it was his only one. but I guess they are discontinuing the low level remote starts in like a month too, I think the shop just bought 100 of them for 18$ use to be 50 clifford units. theres also some new remote start units comming out soon too, the remotes are tiny! like 3/4" by 3/4" and maybe a quarter inch thick, and just have one button on them. They look pretty cool for a basic remote start unit.

You guys are overlooking so many things.. The voltage of the amp rating is kinda major. A 160 amp rating on a amp that is rated at 12 volts, and a 160 amp fuse rating on a amp that is rated at 13.8 is two different things.. 160 x 13.8 = 2208. A amp seeing a higher voltage is kind of making the amp a little more efficent in a way, its making a bit more power with close to the same current draw. Running a higher voltage through same fuse sizing will not blow the fuse. The amp is clearly not 2000wrms, but it maybe close. It may do a 1600-1800 depending on how effienet it is. but it seems like a dirty amp with a higher thd rating, but runs a very simular board to the lanzar optidrive 2000d's (which is fused at 180amps and does 2000rms @ .5 ohms max).

I had a buddy a few years back that was a EMT, he used this when he was "on call". When he had it, it was a clear dome with a half red lense. He wouldnt give me the red lense, so I colored the clear dome red and blue with perm marker (but It would come off easy with some sorts of nail polish remover or some other cleaning ingrediants).
