they are efficient but are not the best for a subwoofer. The best box for a sub woffer is ome that is build for that specific sub. And every woofer likes different boxes! That being said no a full rang speaker is an ib4 and is meant for "free air" but they will work in a box

there are other ways to get more power out of your buddy's car than adding a turbo. sure it may sound easy, oh lets just pull a turbo off some car and put it on your car. but its way more complex than that. your gonna need a BOV, wastegate, turbo manifold (for your car) intercooler, custom exhaust, bigger injectors, the computers gonna have to be retuned with the car on a dyno (dyno time isnt cheap) and for it to be a stock turbo off a car call it a possible 50hp gain. just spend less money in the longrun go buy some bolt-on goodies and save the headache... cause if the turbo setup is done wrong that motor will become a

the outside of the mounting ring with the gasket on it is 12.5 from what i remember with my lvl5 (same baskets)

3.5 cubes is way too big for just one 12". just get a 15 again theyre not that much more. both subs will like that power and sound good too. its up to u and what u want to get

the wood isnt cheap and i dont think too many people have a bunch of wood laying around. its kinda buy what u need to save money. it would be nice to know the difference between birch and MDF audibly though

what kind of car is it that u can only fit 3 cubes anyways?

is it 3 cubes before displacement of the sub and port? if it is it may still be on the small side ur gonna want 2 to 2.25 cubes after displacement.

take a volt meter and check the ohm load on the subsif theyre wired in series and one of the coils blew the subs wont work.

something is probably loose in the amp causing it to randomly pull voltage like that, kinda like a short in it.

yea i know theyll want more power thats y i was making the box bigger so i could get away with less power...

so would the two tens be better in that space sense they are close to a 15 in cone area?

yes it has buckets they are to close together to have a center consol though. im not going to be able to give it full power for awhile anyways (electrical) so im making the box efficient as possible for now. i was just wondering if it'd be worth the hassle of selling and buying different subs?

yea thats why it's a wish lol but in less than a year maybe a little longer ill be off to the airforce so ill have a permanent job there
