Eagle Scouts?
SojiaRaggs9000 replied to mttornquist's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
Gratz bro. I wish I finished mine up.. I got to Life and was in the process of earning Eagle (was 2 - 3 merit badges away). Our loacal chirch was vandalised and so we raised money to fix the damage. Turned out pretty good. I ended up moving from New York to Texas back in 2003 and just never rejoined. Kinda wish I would of tho... looks good on apps. Also I've read that if you plan on joining the military, you can recivie an E2 rank for it if your instructors feel you deserve it. -
How to stop popping in between bass lines?
SojiaRaggs9000 replied to SnowDrifter's topic in Tunez - All things music related
Zoom in so can see a smooth waveform and then select the entire first wave... go to Effects... select Fade In for the beginning of the wave and Fade Out on the end. That or if you use them frequancy alot... just save it as a project and load it.. then copy and paste it in. -

Updated DD-1 Owner's manual
SojiaRaggs9000 replied to TonyD'Amore's topic in SMD Distortion Detector (DD-1) Topics
The instructions don't specify where the sub level should be set on the head unit. So what I did is set mine to 10/15, knowing I'd never take it up past 5/15. Not sure if thats the best way to do it though so im hoping for some clarification. thats easy....set everything on the deck to flat including the bass. I thought that was in the manual. Let me check it out. Nope, no mention of sub level adjustment in there. I know there's some decks where if you have the sub level all the way down the preout voltage will be very low.**Edit** Just checked the updated manual and it does make mention of the sub level issue If you have a bass boost knob or level control knob, set them to the middle of their range. This will allow a slight adustment up or down to preference after the gain is set. I'm assuming the sub level control on the deck falls under the "level control knob" classification. Good job guys! Sorry for bumping an few month old thread... but why would you want to set your deck's Sub Volume Control to half way? On my Eclipse HU it had 8v pre outputs.. 1/2 would only be 4v. Because.... the more voltage to your RCAs the louder you get at a lower volume with less distortion. And less distortion keeps your equipment happy. Bass boost isn't Sub Volume Control. So what am I missing? -
DC Audio Amps Question
SojiaRaggs9000 replied to SojiaRaggs9000's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
Haha yes and no. But Id love a red board... but I talked to you yesterday and I think I may have found a solution to that problem haha. but yeah more than likely the manufacture probably buys what ever color boards that they have in stock at the time the order is placed. Maybe you have a first run and a 2nd run 5Ks'? the amps of which he speaks: -

SojiaRaggs9000 replied to Mikey Bates's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
You can stuff 1/0 Knu in a 2/0 copper lug without trimming wires if your patient. Fits rather snug tho. BUT Knu sells gold ring terminals that fit perfectly. -

Cut a piece of both and look at the ends. Im sure the Kolossus has more wire and less shielding. -

DC Audio Amps Question
SojiaRaggs9000 replied to SojiaRaggs9000's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
What you just said made no sense at all. Yeah but I'm talking about the circuit board. Yeah I figured as much, being that they're mass produced. -
Now Im pretty sure no one at all does this but.... Will or could DC ever offers an option to have any color board you want? Or is that just how thew build houses do it? (Each company gets a different color) heck Id pay extra if I could choose the color of the board.

Level 2 DC 8
SojiaRaggs9000 replied to basshead396's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
I believe because "they're no longer classified as lvl 2s. They're simply m2 8's" ? -
Best benefit I see is it's easier to use 8ga + for speaker wire. Pretty hard to put 2 pieces of 8ga into 1 push terminal (without cutting any stands). No sale gimmick there.. just just common sense.
