  1. I use to be in a band and always wanted my car system to be as loud as the clubs we use to play. I think I'm pretty close now
  2. Alright guys, whats the top dawg right now? I'm looking for a long range 2 way with remote start. Any additional add on's would be cool as well.
  3. The lami goes on the inside then you would tint over that. I've been talking to a bunch of security film people and the brand I was thinking of going with seams a little shakey. I might go with a regular 8- 11 mil film and then tint over that. It's a little cheaper but not by much
  4. I just use a scrap peice of wood to use as my jig. Too lazy and cheap to buy one
  5. Yeah I'm thinking ahead, maybe some day I'll get loud and worry bout skipping the deck :^
  6. You know thats a given I haven't had one fail me yet. Even bumping 150+ at 30hz doesn't skip. I can't say the same for other decks
  7. Smelling the woofers and turning them down before you blow them is an art. Yes you can smell Steve's coils after he been giving demo's, The trick is to know when to say when. Smelling your shit isn't all bad, not turning it down is. :^
  8. Mad props to ANYONE that gets into the 50's regardless of what they use or what it's in
  9. Thanks bro, it's different when i put it in the first time cause it was new and cool. Now it's hey I gotta fix my shit and do it all again. Plus I'm not really sold on what I want to do for a deck yet.
  10. it's all good bro, I jumped on it and then got lazy. I hope to get my ass out and work on it this weekend. I might be in a show coming up so I better pull my head out. I've been in a funk after the break in, Hell I haven't even drove the truck in the past 2 months. I gotta find a way to get back up on the horse.

    bass knobs

I use the STEREO REMOTE VOLUME CONTROL N-22V $21.50 Order N-22V .:| Here |:. The N-22V is a passive stereo potentiometer designed to control the signal level feeding an amplifier, equalizer, electronic crossover, etc. The N-22V has a stereo pair of RCA inputs and a stereo pair of RCA outputs. It's important that the inputs and outputs be connected correctly. The outputs must feed and amp and the inputs must go to the source (i.e. deck.) That's it. When the black knob is rotated clockwise, the signal increases up to the maximum output of the source. When the knob is rotated counter-clockwise, the signal decreases all the way to zero volts (system mute). The N-22V can be installed under the dash, in a console, glove box, or hidden away. http://www.davidnavone.com/linedrivers.htm
  12. i am going to run two hifonics bxi1206 which is 1200 rms at 1 ohm load. 1200w best guess on fuses on the high side would be about 150 amps each, So 300 total. I would try and run 2 800's to each amp at least if not more
  13. I like to use wood filler on all my edges and screw holes, sand smooth, primer then paint. i mostly use texture paint, gives it that rino-lining look. If your going to use a brush, use an oil baised paint and a really nice brush like a Purddy brand. The results will be worth the xtra price.
  14. nice to know im not the only one who does that, anything i dont like ends up in my dads hands, and he seems to love it. The wife gets the first go around of hand-me-downs then the parents and in-laws. I can't bring myself to get rid of anything.
  15. Sat make on air sound like crap. I'll never go back to regular FM. Mine was direct connect so I'm not sure how clean the FM mod would be.
  16. Had 2 sets, gave them to my parents. They like them over the stock
  17. I don't see why you couldn't use both on AI-Net. A quick call to Alpine tech support would be your best bet. When I had my 901 I was thinking of adding XM to my Sirius
  18. I had the silver ones.
  19. how many alts and what kind did u have? 1 Alt and it's stock.
