    Mine are 2.2, and it'll sound fine. I would add a line driver eventually though to boost it. You could get a better head unit, but if youre satisfied with the one you have, a line driver will be cheaper and more effective.

    btw, most speakers are intended for free-air use, so I dunno how much a box will help. But thats always a good start! Thats how i started too, built a lil box for an old mtx speaker i found.

    You answered your own question. You can either run from the second battery's negative post to a chassis ground or to the negative post on the first battery.

    can't vouch for that one in particular, but I can definately vouch for pioneer's headunits in general. They're good stuff for sure.

    x 2 on alpine and pioneer. eclipse makes good h/u's too. kenwood if youre looking at a somewhat smaller budget.

    DD makes great subs. I'm not sure about the deal, b/c ive never actually seen any for sale haha. Congrats on the new sub, it's one of the better ones out there.

    lol, this is a lowrider. i think this is what you want He used an Eibach kit to lower that. So I'd look around for that if thats the look youre going for.

    Well at just a cursory glance, you want to cut the port width in half when its for each individual sub. basically, after they join it should be the full size, and half before they join.

    The subs have their own individual airspace in 2 chambers, no working off each other. plus if you're playin loud and one sub cuts out, the other one doesnt suddenly see twice the airspace and start bottoming out.

    Terminals give a clean look, and a pretty easy way to connect and disconnect, but unfortunately they usually represent a weak point in the box. Seeing as the whole box is 3/4" wood, and then some thin plastic, its normally a flex point in higher powered enclosures. Bolts are generally stronger. Sorry, back to the thread. :hj:

    Damn that's pretty cool. I like how you run your highs off one amp and your mids off another...do you just use the amps internal x overs? or do you external....damn, my bad. forgot about the 360's haha. I really admire the work you do, i'm trying to model my own stuff after yours haha, just on an entirely smaller scale.

    I'm guessing youre saying no carpet b/c you dont want to mess it up. haha. sorry if im wrong. you could get it real smooth and paint it. or bedline it. something along those lines. you could put diamondplate on. idk. be creative.
