what in god's great earth do you need a 4k.4 for?

i carry them at my store (Advance Auto Parts) and we don't even try to sell them. They come with a try it out period that if you don't like them you can return them for your money back but i've never personally used them. I heard they do work though, but that's just by word of mouth, i haven't seen it personally.

Thanks man, i appreciate it. If anyone else is an IT Professional or knows one, i'd appreciate multiple views, it'd make the project more in depth. It'd probably be at most a 30 min. interview to get all the information. i could even send the questions via email so the answers could just be typed up and than i could integrate them into the project. I have a project for my Current Practices in Business Technology class that involves interviewing an IT Professional. Getting background on how they started, what they do, and other information about the job and related activities. I'm not sure where to start, who to talk to, who to call, etc. so i figure i'd post it up here and hope that we have some IT Professionals that belong to the forum. Whether you are currently or you were previously, any information will help, i really want to finish up this college stuff haha. Anyways, I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me with this, or even give me some ideas of where to call and who to ask for. Thanks much!!

I looked at DAT's warranty and i know my buddy is gonna be stupid and not listen to my warnings about not letting the voltage drop below 14 and he'll toast the amp pretty quick, and than he'll give up and just let the system sit until he decides it's ok to buy another amp. I guess i should edit the statement i first made and specify that wherever he buys the amp from, they need to have a flat rate fixing fee like Rockford or MTX or whathave you, i know that narrows it down alot, but to keep me headache free from him bitching, i guess that's what it's gotta be. :shot: god help me with this build

Something in the 3k range would be good for each sub, what's everyone's opinion on the opti 6k amp? my buddy has one on a pair of ab 12's and it works pretty good.

Def. considering either DC or Iraggi for the alt, he's not afraid to spend his money where it counts. He just wants to make sure he's getting quality which i reassure him all the time he will be, any other opinions on amp selection?

no DC 3k's left last i heard from Rusty, but my buddy will def. need some serious alternators but right now he's just concerned about amp selection.

As of now everything is up in the air, he'll probably end up with an Iraggi Alt and the subs are undecided on the voice coils. he's just lookin at whats the best, he'll have around 3-4k to play with but that includes the subs, amp, batts, materials, and wire

My buddy is lookin for an amp that'll beat the hell out of a pair of LVL 5 12s on a daily basis. he's not worried about makin spl numbers but he wants to rattle the neighborhood, any suggestions?
