So, I had an sa-8 donated to me by a good friend of mine. All he said was "it quit working. You want it?" Well, of course! Anyways, I pulled it apart. Turns out, coil was minty fresh. Tinsel leads were burnt through. Its already apart now tho so its recone time. Is there anydthing I can do to upgrade with the recone? The cooling slavers for the basket? Better coil? Better spider? Leads? I'm planning on building a box tuned more for numbers, Just for fun. Never had a chance to play with spl much. Lol!

You need a bigger amp. Your subs are obviously unhappy because they're underpowered. Get an amp with a dual bass boost too. I hear those are the new hot ish! If this is a real post, buy some strong rope and go hang out in your closet awhile......

The going price for type R's on Cl around here is 200 bucks. I sold mine for that two weeks ago. If you look around online, you can find them for as cheap as 240 a pair. That's what I did. Turning thrashed on them daily with my aq2200d.

I've daily'd a pair of 12d4 type R's on an audioque 2200d for a few months now. Amp is prolly putting out about 1500 right now and they get fairly warm after a few minutes.
