  1. That's a good diagram! And yes, it is a must to fuse as close as you can to each battery. If you don't your gonna have a nice car-b-que when something shorts out. Edit- and each fuse should be rated for what the wire can handle. If it can handle 300A for example, then use a 300A at the front batt, a 300A at the rear, and a 300A between the rear batt and amp (assuming your using the same wire for your amp.) And always fuse as close to the battery's as you can.
  2. Yah i was told that... but the only reason why i did the level 4 or HDC3 is becuase there what i could afford. You do know im offering 10% off?? I can get you an XL 15 pretty cheap. Hey man, could you pm me prices on an XL 15 and lvl4 15? Thanks!!
  3. What if you use plexiglass for the baffle? Would that give better results than just mdf? Cause the prefab bandpass boxes have the removeable plexiglas windo and I figured it could be applied here.
  4. Yea I'd like to see the reasoning behind his statement. I have inverted subs and never heard an audible difference from doing so. Plus I can own a top fuel funny car, but not understand why it makes 8000 HP. I like that analogy about the funny car. Raises a great point... Whether i understand why it makes so much power i still have the common sense not to drive the car in reverse down the track the quickest! And I always put my parachute on the front or the rear of the vehicle? lol I forget.... But then again maybe i am not a total idiot either and understand the working of an internal combustion engine and i just have a real bad sense of direction? Good point! And I hope you took no offense to my post, meant no disrespect at all I didn't understand the difference till you explained it a few posts ago. It was such an easy explanation I'm surprised more people don't realize the difference! Thanks for clearing it up without all the B.S....
  5. I don't give 2 shits when he joined. How long someone has been here doesn't mean jack as to what they know. But i will say this. If you take 2 people and make them answer questions on this forum, but add in smart ass comments in with the replies of one of them, the smart ass is going to be constantly defending his replies as he is attacked by people that dont appreciate the attitude. You catch more flies with honey than vinegar .... I completely agree, how long someone's been around has no relevance, someone above me (I think it was ikidwell) said "I don't know how long you've been here cause I'm on my mobile, but..." so I posted his join date. Edit-ikidwell beat me to it...and lol at dogshit!
  6. WHERE CAN I GET ONE PLEASE... HOW MUCH DO THEY RUN? PLEASE CAN I HAVE A SPECIFICATIONS LINK....PLEASE...TY You need to talk to a dealer about pricing. Prices aren't allowed on the Internet. And again talk to a dealer for availability. NO NEED TO SHOUT! lol i think he was just a little excited.. lol great reason for excitement though!! Lol yea I'd have to agree with the excitement, It's a bad ass sub.

  8. Sounds like a mess of an install, but hey, I give it to the guy for going out there and putting something in his ride. Sometimes you can't learn unless you do it wrong.

  10. Damn I wish I had that kinda speed!
  11. Yea, we live just a lil bit away from dips and cable service, but the dsl used to be decent here, but I'm not the one who pays the bill and I think the ones who do may have downgraded to a lower level.
  12. Yea, I try and watch YouTube vids in 720p hd and it takes like 15 minutes to get through a 3-4 minute vid.
  13. Yea I get so frustrated with it cause I used to have roadrunner cable Internet and it was way faster.
  14. Ok well I have Verizon dsl, the speed seems very slow to me but I'm not sure if it's typical or not. Here is a screenshot from my iPhone comparing 3G and wifi speed on my home dsl. The 3G speed test is the top one. Oh and what does the ping mean?
  15. thank you man and yeah ima see what ima do but thanks No prob bro, good luck.
  16. No prob, if you have any other problems you can pm me if you want. Good luck!
  17. No prob! And the easiest way to know if it shorted is to pull the wire out and look at it, and if it did short somewhere then it will be black and charred in the area it shorted in. Plus the jacket will be torn exposing the copper wire inside. If the wire looks fine just replace it and see if that works. And also check ALL of your fuses cause they tend to blow when wires short or have bad connections.
  18. Well if the main wire burnt, then you need to replace it, but first find out why it burnt, it may have been rubbing on something and shorted out, and you definitely want to fix that problem before you replace the wire.
  19. Ok, well it sounds like you have a bad connection somewhere. have you replaced the main pos wire? And where does it go? The fuse box?
  20. When you say the pos battery cable went out, what do you mean?
  21. I don't think it's the belt, belt slipping doesn't cause flickering of the vehicles electrical.
  22. Maybe check the wire goin from your battery into the fuse box and the main engine ground. And how is the voyage before you get flickering?
  23. Almost sounds like a bad/dirty connection to the battery, are your battery posts and wire terminals clean?
