  1. If you work at it long enough, I'm sure itll turn out great. Just be aware it won't be the first go at it.
  2. IF you do it right it'll look good... If this is your first time I wouldn't make it too permanent. Fiberglass can be a major pain in the ass. You'll want to redo it, I guarantee. I'm saying this form experience. But by all means, go for it. Gotta learn sometime.
  3. My p1000bd did that. For me it was one of the transformers on the fritz. Sell that shit fast, or get a new power supply.
  4. Nope. I've never tried them. Probably never will haha. I'd have to give up my man card.
  5. Wrestlings the real deal, I know it man. Had a few buddies in it, they wuz ripped. Thanks for the encouragement!
  6. Alright fellas. I've always wanted to do this, and now I finally am. If you're not familiar this will help: It's pretty nuts. But as it is I'm in very good shape, and I'm a very good rock climber, so I have some good training for this sort of thing. Still, i'm gonna be amping up my training. Its still a half marathon, much of it sludging through mud. Here's my course!: http://toughmudder.com/flash_course_map/wisconsin-2012/map.swf All of this is done on behalf of the WOUNDED WARRIOR project. They obviously support returning veterans who have been injured fight abroad. If any body wants to donate directly to the chairty fund, hit this link up! Any and all donations are VERY appreciated. https://www.raceit.c...raiser=r4709563
  7. Of course It does. does 150000 watts compare to 200000?
  8. ALright guys thanks, I won't sweat it. I can see I'm gonna have to do somehting about my black theme though.....
  9. So yes it can fry just sitting in the sun or no? I just got two seperate answers... The amp was definitely in thermal protection.
  10. So i walk outside to day to go for a spin, turn on my car, and realize my subs aren't on. I pop the hatch, and put my hand on my big amp. It's so hot almost burn myself. You cannot put you rhand on it. It's just from sitting in th sun, but will this harm it? As in without being on can it overheat and fry? The amp is 1/2 stable over both channels so it normally runs quite hot when you push it. (I've only got it bridged at 2 ohms)
  11. I wouldn't worry about the ECM. The distributor was a terriible invention. They fail way to often. There's usually an easy way to diagnose them with just a dmm. Check for infinite resistance on the coilpacks to see if they're burnt.
  12. Something wrong with a ford? No way. Never happens. Glad you got it fixed OP.
  13. If torres isn't working use this. It isn't as fancy, but it gets the job done. Just remember, port volume does not count towards box volume. http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/boxcalcs.asp#porsq Remember to input all displacement correctly. Use 3/4 mdf or a comparable material. Try stuff out, it doesn't cost much at all.
  14. It's not a bad company company. it's just the underpaid teenagers working the loading docks. You'd think it was the shot putt pit at a track meet. Glad you got your due man!

  16. goodluck! Thank you sir. I will post pics tomorrow or someday maybe.
  17. Excellent back to home depot it is... Possibly. Hah I did my research. I didn't ask whether or not I should do it. I AM going to do it, so no worries. Just wanted to know the best way.
  18. Hmm I like this idea. Where does one get sonotube? Ive heard of it..... Just to make her look puuurty. I'm thinking some plexiglass may find its way into it.
  19. So I'm starting on my enclosure tomorrow, and was wondering on what people suggest using for getting rid of sharp corners. I've done some research, and come up with three basic options. I can use just straight resin. I can use mixed resin and fiberglass mat. And then i thought that's alot like kitty hair. Any suggestion on which is best? I have the material to do any of them, and regular bondo as well. Also I don't want to build too much mass in the corners so as to change my tuning. At the moment I like the sound of the kitty hair. Which I love, because the stuff is magical when you're restoring a rusty old car... (different project)
  20. FIFTY TWO subs. It's worth a significant amount in scrap if nothing else. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-of-52-JBL-MTX-Kenwood-Zenon-Pioneer-Insignia-Subwoofers-AS-IS-/360464916356?pt=Car_Subwoofers_Enclosures&hash=item53ed621f84
  21. You mean like this? Sorry it's been done before. But by all means go for it, it does look nice.
  22. Wow.... i very nearly bought one of those. VERY nearly. I decided not to on account that the guy I was emailing about it kept sending me smiley faces at the end of every sentence. It irritated me/creeped me out. Guess I lucked out. They do look nice anyhow.
  23. He's from Wisconsin, Milwaukee I believe. He's pretty legit actually. He deals Surreal Innovations last time I checked, which are pretty badass.
