  1. i saw the puppy today. he was hard to recognize because he actually looked alive. i could only house one of the dogs though, hopefully the pup finds a home.
  2. spending a small fortune on 1/4" x 1 1/2" x 12' copper bars.

  3. i dont either. those people were fucked up though. i prefer not to discuss them any further though as i dont want some idiot to try to label me as a racist.
  4. "trooper" has a heck of a story..... some people rented the house behind me for a few months. they had this dog, and a puppy. long story short the people got evicted and left the dogs. the two dogs had been very mis-treated, and neglected. the small puppy had a chain wrapped around his neck, and as he grew, the chain never got adjusted and was embedded in his neck, which had to be surgically removed. "trooper" had a childs belt wrapped around his neck. he was tied to a raw cable, which had his neck severely chewed up and infected. the backs of his ears were really bad from the cable rubbing him. he sat in the animal shelter for a while, being held in the animal cruelty case. "trooper" and the puppy were left for dead in the back yard of the house next door for 4 days. no food, no water, no shelter, no shade, and only 6 feet of cable to move on each. i fed and watered them the whole time, and ended up making friends with "trooper". the day after the dogs were taken by animal control, i made phone call after phone call trying to track this dog down. i finally found him, and was told he couldnt be released because he was being held as evidence. i left my contact information after being told it could take months before he could be released. this morning i got a call to come pick him up. he has been cared for and fed, and doesnt even look like the shriveled up dog i remember. i have named him "trooper", and we are gonna have some good times fishing, hunting, running around at the river, and riding in the truck! "trooper" gets a new life, and we are gonna make the best of it!
  5. i hope you dont use them on YOUR build then. the grills are kinda necessary on this one as from one day to the next you never know when will may just throw a few suitcases back there on top of the box and hit the interstate for 14 hours. (that is actually happening next weekend in this vehicle BTW)

  8. ive been in that truck before. i not really all that loud, it just moves a ton of air!
  9. werd. i go in there and im there for 20 minutes playing solitaire on the ipod and havin' a cig.
  10. they are cheaper than xs because they are not as good as xs.
  11. the sr isnt a bad pistol. you can always just give that 9mm to the wife and get yourself an sr40c.......
  12. i was getting in the high 151's to low 152's depending on the temperature. it was running at below rms power, and burping at 32hz. it was quite an impressive setup. i had the bl's running right at compression, in a bandpass wall. the smd was non walled. the bl's just aint that great.
  13. it semes like im stuck at 153.1 just wondering what people are hitting and figured this was the best place to ask i hate the bl. i ran 2 of the 15's in my car on about 1krms each and was only getting 151's on dash with termlab, quite a let down vs my single smd.
  14. CS or not, that port is SHIT. dude, you are like, so fucking awesome! seriously, do you just have nothing better to do than go around and act like you have a 30 foot dc audio e-peen everytime someone mentions skar? everytime i see something negative about a skar product, its usually from you..... im sure you have tried the skar subwoofers and have an actual experience based opinion on them. no? everyday i see something else where you are "keep this bullshit" or "skarbage" or some other dumb shit. if you wanna sit here and pick this box apart like you are some kind of expert on wood work, them im sure i could tear you build apart with my 13 years of experience as a cabinet builder.
  15. I mean this. Its not sealed at all in the inside, if it is. I cannot tell at all. The box itself is solid, just no caulk and I can tell it will leak air easily. However, with that being said what do you expect from great prices and fast shipping? Box is well designed imo for a simple 12 box. Carpet is fine as well. Just no Caulk which over time will cause leaks just because there isnt visible sealant doesnt mean it isnt sealed. when i build enclosures, i make my cuts straight and the glue i put it together with seals it up.
  16. anyone else here into these guys? ive been hooked on em for years, every album is always just a masterpiece from start to finish. lonesome wyatt is either extremely fucked up, or just an absolute genius.......
  17. i decided to try one of these guys out in my gen3 g21. polished out the trigger bar and plunger, installed the connector, and also installed a glockworx competition spring kit. nice and easy job, ended up with about 2.5lb trigger, nice clean break. i highly recommend the setup. the parts only cost me $21 after shipping.
  18. for the most part, break-in is a bogus term used by manufacturers as a way to get out of warrantying subs that break.
  19. using a common panel / common panels of the enclosure does aid in port efficiency,
  20. internal surface resistance of ports is kind of an odd bag. 95% of people here probably dont look at that anyways. they just dont look at it, though i always give it consideration.
  21. your port area is in the neighborhood, though you now have another problem. this problem being surface resistance. your port is 3x34 at 24 inches long, thats 2248in^2 of surface area in the port. a 6x17 port, at the same length, would be much more efficient, due to less surface resistance inside the port. the internal surface area of a 6x17 at 24 inches is 1104in^2. this is much more efficient with the same amount of internal moving mass. just as an example, in this case, the absolute most efficient port possible would be 10.1x10.1, at 24 inches long. this gives 969.6 inches of internal surface area, which will be minimal surface resistance and the most possible efficiency.
