you just said it yourself, different equipment. who knows, maybe my results were a fluke, hell i dunno. i honestly hope it is a fluke. maybe im looking for something a little different out of the o-scope, i dunno. maybe im looking for different shit out of the o-scope than what my understanding is of the dd-1. ive never said the dd-1 was junk, ive said multiple times that i think it is a great tool. but chillmasterwill saw it happen in my car, and we got quite a gain out of his 4runner using the oscope over the dd-1. maybe we are just looking at something a little different.

then people can start making accusations of using photoshop and editing the videos.

if i didnt have a lunch date with my wife today, it would totally be worth reinstalling my amp, batts, box, and driving 2 hours each way to savannah to get the dd-1 and then 14 hours each way back and forth to texas to get the subs back just to make a video to prove something on the internets.....

Your welcome. i didnt sell that sub and you know it. i converted to a bandpass in my car and didnt have enough airspace for 2 smd 18s in the pt cruiser, so i traded into 2 15's, thank ya much.

i know that if i max out clean at -10db, then play at 0db it is no longer clean. that is the point im making here. it is plainly visible on proper equipment and undeniable. it if makes no difference then why have instructions with the product using -10db to get louder output beyond what is setup as maximum clean output.

yes it was. different tool used to set gain differently. started at head unit, worked my way back. i setup using the 0db track because it has always baffled me why people use the lower db track while trying to set their system up to play clean. use -10db to setup your sub stage to the max it can do without distortion, then play music recorded at 0db which drives the equipment back beyond the point of distortion, then brag about your distortion free system. it is laughable at best....

ive learned that the dd-1 is a great tool. though i feel that the users it is great for are the bulk of audio enthusiasts who dont really venture into the technical side of audio much, dont want to have to actually take the time learn to use a complex tool, or have to actually use some sort of skill to read a tool and know how to translate that into what to do to solve a problem. like i said, its a great tool, but i feel that i mostly benefits the novice installer. if it had o-scope built into it, it would the bees knees. i set my car up with a dd-1, didnt like it and got hold of a second dd-1. on the termlab, my car would do 1 score with the first dd-1, an entirely different scopre off the second dd-1, then it would do 6.5db louder after my oscilloscope, banging wide open all day long.

box size is gonna be dependent on several factors. amount of power presented to the sub, tuning frequency, port area, the cabin geometry of the vehicle, intended purpose of the system, and so on. no-one can give you any accurate information without knowing those things, as a starting point, but many who dont know how to do things properly will surely try.....

if someone is making money by using copyrighted material that they dont have permission to use, and they finally get caught up to, then i dont understand how possibly defeating that is progress. for people NOT gaining from it financially, then there should be no limitation. but partners should not be able to use copyrighted material without permission, and if they do and they get caught there should be no chance to defeat the accusation, and my opinion is they should be removed from youtube. sure, if the artist feels that way. But if one of my favorite artists tells me to my face that they love my video's and want me to keep making them, it shouldn't be up to youtube to take the liberty to take it down. does the artist own the copyright or the record label? if the artist has a contract, then 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% sure the label owns the copyright and the artist himself has no legal ground to give permission to use the track / program material. hell look at what ray charles did. when he was offered a contract, he told them that if he didnt keep his own publishing rights then he wasnt signing.
