SMD Refs: KAPONE.SS,MEHRL93, Ebay: My_ride_has_bass (300+) 1. Product: (1) SKAR VVX-12. I got this in a trade. He just put a new recone kit in, and it has coil rub somewhere. A new recone is $40+ship from Skar, or you may be able to fix this one. Please read all this!:evil5: It will shit in the original box with the original foam inserts from SKAR. 2. Specs: To see SPECS CLICK HERE Shipping box says dual 2 ohm. 3. Description/Condition: THIS SUB HAS A FRESH RECONE ON IT! IT HAS COIL RUB! MISSING TERMINALS! SOLD AS IS!! Physical: looks great. Motor is clean, basket is clean. Mechanical: Has coil rub. When I move the cone in and out I hear something rubbing. I DID NOT INSTALL THE RECONE. I have not applied power to this sub because I do not have a spare set of leads and the terminals are not on it. I am assuming it makes the rubbing sound when power is applied. This sub does not have terminals and the leads from the coils are new and have never been used. So you will need to do a direct lead wire, or add terminals. THIS SUB IS BEING SOLD CHEAP AS IS. IF YOU CAN FIX IT, AWESOME. IF NOT, IT NEEDS ANOTHER RECONE. 4. Price: : $60 + shipping 5. Pictures:

AP-3000D to 2 D2 subs?
jmilch replied to adam6604's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
Yes that picture is, but you could do it either way. When I mentioned it the first time I did not have a pic yet. I prefer parallel then series, but either way works. -

AP-3000D to 2 D2 subs?
jmilch replied to adam6604's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
It works that way because it is just 2 x 1500 boards internally strapped. So it would be like running 2 of their 1500d's. So yes you can do 3000 RMS @ 2 ohms (each board sees 1 ohm) or 1500 each channel aka each board. So each board would run 1500 RMS seperately. Hope that makes sense. You'd have to understand how strapping works. -

Anyone own a Eclipse?
jmilch replied to Winn's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
I have a 2003 fully loaded. Search in the members rides forum, you will see mine. I've owned it since it was brand new. It's not my only car, so it doesn't have a ton of miles but I love it. If I wasn't on mobile is post the link. -

DC 2K and Level 4's
jmilch replied to GiAnT4LYFE's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
They are internally combined. For that amp, you won't see any real gain in using 2 sets of wires. I would wire it with a single set going to the terminals. -
It really isnt the bees knees. Sometimes it makes a difference, but other subs perform better without a high roll. Just sayin'
-
You get what you pay for. Since many companies rate their amps differently, unless you do some reading (besides product reviews) you wouldnt know that. Many brand rate on peak power. That may be a t a certain tone level, with 14.4V generally a tone that a sub wouldnt even use in the first place... Reputable brands rate on RMS. The only hifonics that generally do rated power are the brutus series. Stay away from the hifi series. And yes, like adam said you likely clipped the sub to death by trying to turn up the bass and gain.

will wiring 4ohm componets to 2 ohm ruin them?
jmilch replied to JBLEEZE33's topic in Mid's and highs
^^This. I dont understand why people wire mids and highs down to 2 ohms, never made sense to me. Unless the said speaker is rated @ 2 ohms and performs well. But that is only a rare handful of speakers. -
Red Top any good for a second battery?
jmilch replied to KenC210's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
Is your die hard AGM? -
well im going to get it re measured in the next hour or two soo ill send it then. I do believe it was 15H X 41L X 31W if i remember correctly. I also might change the sub size to an 18 if i can get it in there. also port faced towards the interior if possible 15 high but you'd like a front facing 18? I'm confused..

You're an idiot.rob and Rusty work 18 hours a day. Your mommy and daddy don't combine for that Touché N8. This fool is apparently too dumb to know the difference between a sales rep and a builder.... Who happens to be a owner also
