  1. LOL. I do some work for a hotel, they gave me a Christmas card with $20. I got 1/3 tank of gas lol.
  2. I had a fucking Memphis 4k go out on me, sent it in under warranty and I think they're going to make me pay parts and labor FUCK THAT. For some reason my voltage drops are aweful with 2 amps run at 2 ohms instead of 4 at 1ohm- I was able to do 150 on music with 11.5 volts with 4, but only 146 on music with 2 at 11.3v- FUCK THAT.
  3. No I haven't had any problems with the recorder, but sometimes on some channels theres a little wavy line at the very top of the screen. Not often, and the HD channels are fine, but the normal ones... eh.
  4. ^Exactly, no one around here has a meter, so its a huge help to the people in the area as well.
  5. No one has one, and the shop that used to have wanted $20 for 10 minutes. At comps it's $20 to enter a class w/ 2 runs. If we charge $10 to -find peak freq -find out your score at peak freq- -find out peak on music -just generally experiment with location and song I think that's plenty fair given how things are There shouldn't be a huge line with people rushing to get metered, so it should be a lot of fun (and helpful) for all those involved.
  6. I agree with everyone else- sounds like he was an ass in the wrong. I def. would have gotten the money back, hell maybe taken his too after the fact. I wouldn't let the people telling you you were wrong get to you, you weren't.
  7. Hope this is the right section. Anyone in the Myrtle Beach/Conway area we are having a metering session Dec 8 at Carolina Audio in Conway. Call 843-455-9121 for info/directions. It's not a show or competition per-say because we won't have trophies or classes, and it's not really a show because there's no forms to fill out etc. Just stop by if you want to get metered on a Termlab for a good price.
  8. Sorry to hear about that, and a little fiberglass inside would hold it for a while. You could clamp it in place, or duct tape it from the outside lol (It works). I'm really glad we don't get snow/ice much at all here in the south- they cancel schools for 1/2" of snow.
  9. Worse accidents I've been in were on ice/snow/icey snow (others ramming me). Great tips, and especially (though it sounds obvious how many actually do it) slow down even more for turns, way before them. I was in a huge work van waiting to turn left at a stop sign and a lady didn't put on her brakes soon enough. She hydroplaned right into the side of the van mid-turn going 30-35mph. Everyone was okay, the front of her car was pretty much totaled, but the van only had a 3 inch dent at the b-pillar Anyway, not the only time stuff like that happened and it can happen to the best of us. Thank god for SC weather, one less thing to worry about now.
  10. Nice! Do you have the whole setup planned out completely, or still working on it? What kind of vehicle are you puting those in?
  11. More like taking leaps lol. It starts off by saying "only 2 years" after, and 4 years after. Lots of things happen 2 years after lol.
  12. With 0 feedback I'd be hesitant. I see these on Tempro for 7-800 frequently too.
  13. ^I agree, south>north I miss the snow, but being able to go to the beach in november is awesome Also one set of tires year round ftw -I definitely don't miss the icey roads and people who don't know how to drive.
  14. It says 550 each + ship, but I figured I'd bump to help out regardless. Sorry to hear about that, but a fair deal for sure.
  15. ^Agreed. And burrito that's the truth! Thanksgiving day I was grouting the tile in the bathroom lol. I procrastinate a lot. Hell, I'm glad I'm sick 'cause I have a reason not to do the shit I need to. Force yourself to do it, think of it as having to do the right thing and make a habit of doing what you don't want to do. Makes you feel good about yourself at the end of the day, instead of like a lazy turd.
  16. It is pronounced F"eye", like the letter F before saying eye. As in Hi-Fi. *sorry, missed a few posts there, looks like someone else already covered it lol.
  17. ^ True. 3rd shifts at most places, and night-audit at a hotel.
  18. "I say,you owe her.....one hitler every day for the rest of your life..........." lol Yeah, maybe a few houdinis in there...
  19. You'll lose cone area doing that. I'd much rather put 2 15s, and I would stick away from the idea of underpowering the BTL. A BL would make much more sense, and be properly powered.
  20. Well my mom was about 68, and while she didn't think it was half as funny as I did, she did say 'I think you'll get more use out of these' and give them back It was funny to me more than anything else Biker dildo I doubt I'd go there
  21. That's pretty interesting, but you don't mess with it jerking it's head around and stuff. It's probably a good thing they didn't eat it. I remember when i grew up we had chickens, and my dad set traps for the animals that were killing them. He caught a racoon, which was sticking it's hand in the cage with the chicks and pulling them out through the 1/2 gaps in pieces. Well it was in this little cage, looking up at me and my dad when he gave me the rifle and said to shoot it. I told him no, he told me go ahead. I said no again before he started to look pissed, so I went ahead and shot it. It needed a 2nd shot before it stopped moving (to put it down quicker). He took the rifle and said "don't you feel bad for shooting that helpless animal? It couldn't run away and you just shot it point blank.." That reminds me of that.
  22. 1/0 spools 260a alts and/or mounting bracket Batteries small handgun to take my test to carry (Although my birthday is the 11th of jan, so I'll probably get it for that). A .45 wouldn't be bad.. To not screw up christmas for my wife (It's always been a bad time of year for me, but she loves the holiday )
