Meant TX1.2000 not 2500 btw :/ http://www.soundstream.com/AudioProducts/Amplifiers/tarantula.htm Only reason I'm thinking about that one is because there is one sitting at the place I work and it's cheap, otherwise I'd probably go a different brand

The rubicon doesn't look too bad, might have to see how much I get them for through work.....the only thing I don't trust on the new tarantulas is it looks and feels kinda cheap, but I dunno maybe that's just me lol

Do you reckon they're worth buying? Because I can get one for $400 ish and the tarantula 2500 was even cheaper than that, so there pretty much my options so far lol Thanks for the input guys, guess it's hard to say what their new stuff is like compared to the old, but just looking for an opinion on the amps in general for anybody who has one?

Just wondering if soundstreams amps are worth buying? I picked up 2 T6 fifteens because I got them cheap and they seem to do the job but not sure on their amps. Anybody have any feedback to give on them? Whether they put out good power/rated power? Power hungry or not? etc. Amp I might be getting in particular is the new Tarantula 2500 model.....
  5. Its the same company that made the old (good) MB Quart products before they got bought out I havent heard either German Meastro or Rainbow so cant really say whats better :/
  6. Lol nobody is complaining though Try some Plies songs, nearly everything by him has a great bass line, otherwise most of jeezys older stuff as said already..... Another one to try though "lil Wayne - I got some money on me" goes pretty hard
  7. The best way to determine whether or not a song is clipped is to look for flat spots, but if you look at a song and it just doesn't look right, or you're subs are getting warm quickly by playing it, id say don't play that song on you're system or have it at a lower volume then you normally would
  8. Checking for clipping: Using 'show clipping' tool to see red spots you believe to be clipping = No!! Zooming into the track to look for flat spots in the song (pretty much a normal wave that looks like the top has been 'clipped' off) = Yes
  9. Thanks mate, appreciate it (got my new zip coming up in the next couple of days too) +1 for bigpimpins money man, goes hard!!
  10. looks alright for a single 10" .........any of my edited songs? lol
  11. Ill try and upload as MP3 and give you the links. EDIT: Here is the link for Back In Black in MP3 format. http://www.mediafire.com/?ieeew2cf2e2dx7c And Im my opinion it think when you bass edit songs.. make the bass hit a little higher. You have them hitting somewhat low. The low notes dont do good in my car. Dude what are you running? A single 6" tuned at 50hz or something? High bass sounds like shit compared to the lows, anything below 40hz Is what you want, the majority of people on this forum can play low so making songs just for you're high tuned system isn't really going to satisfy most people....
  12. probably a bit late but in future this song should do you well http://www.mediafire.com/?ll1z1s7qf2q6ywb 32Hz and one of the most constant songs ive seen
  13. I've been down here for just over three weeks. I'm just here for the term at Newie Uni. Would love to stay longer, maybe even live here eventually. But typically will cost more, especially shipped to Australia. Unless its local, but always more expensive for more drivers. Australia is a great place to live, just shit availability and prices on car audio indeed it will cost more, about $400-500 more expensive then the 18"s thats the only reason why i cant decide, the 18"s are cheaper and will be getting more power per driver, but then as people have already said 6 15"s have a bit more cone area and 2 more motors, but typically both options will be seeing 5000rms.........would the price difference change anyones minds? or is it worth just spending that bit extra?....
  14. Thanks for the input guys, looks like I'll be getting some 15"s
  15. haha i wish i had a VE ute, im only 17 though and was limited to what i could buy for my first car, so i could spend more on the system yea 18"s are quite uncommon to an extent in Australia, but i dont really care about the wow factor just whatever will be loudest on music and play lower anyways heres the beast, a 93 VP commodore wagon: To fit the quantity of subs i will be buying the system in stages, so if i go with the 15"s ill have 4 in a box behind the backseat and then 6 in a wall, same with the 18"s start off with 2 in a box, then 4 in a wall
  16. So I'm looking at upgrading but unsure on what size/quantity of woofers to go with... Options are: -4 18" 1000rms subs getting about 1200rms each, or - 6 15" 1000rms subs (same woofer) getting about 800rms each Both setups will be in a large box tuned at around 30 hz eventually put into a fourth order wall, wanna know what would be the best way to go for a loud daily groundpounder Any opinions would be great cheers
  17. wow the only song in my bass playlist that has a drop in it :/
  18. If you dont want to/cant pull a hairtrick what does it matter what sub moves more air? It all comes down to the design of the box anyhow, id go with whatever sounds best/loudest and save up for a wall or blowthrough build to get some hair tricks going....
  19. The version I got wasn't too bad as far as clipping goes? Just be smart with the volume and gains ......personally I don't like most of the songs on king kong except for about 3, "I do it" and "my shawty" have some good bass though
  20. Was one of my first bass added songs I did (so probably not as good as it could be but I still love it) in zip 1 I'm pretty sure, I can pm you just the link though if you want it?
