I am currently running a Prime 150-2 amp to power two 12 inch P1s and it does surprisingly well for the little amount of power being used. It came with a birth sheet with RMS of 181 watts when bridged at 4ohms. The larger amp are capable of running down to 2ohms and most are under rated just like the upper level RF amps. Which one are you looking at using?

Hey, does anyone have any experience with these subs? I just heard a couple of them in a sealed box, approx. 2.5 cubes per, and they surprised the Hell out of me. He wasn't even expecting the sound these things made, I had never heard of them. He came to me to get a ported box made for them(build in 3 weeks)and to get rid of the crap cap he had connected. He has them powered with a JL 1000/1 and they have his poor Burb flexing something serious. I told him before we make the box we would need to dampen the crap out of it. I wish I had a cam, because his roof was flexing a good 2 inches. It was pretty sick for subs I had never heard of. He only wants 1 so, I was thinking about putting 1 in a ported box sealed off from the trunk of my 91 Accord. LOL Any experience with these? Can they really handle 1000wrms? Any info would be of great help. BTW, he paid $50 for the subs and box.

OK, everything I am about to say is coming from personal experience. The first thing you need to is get your money back from that trip. Quickly and quietly look for a new job. (Its a little easier because you are working to get noticed) Find somebody....anybody to move with/room mate with. Get the hell out of there. Reasons why: Once she knows that she has that control over you by threatening to turn your life upside down, SHE WON'T STOP! It will probably lead to either her snapping because you finally put your foot down. Or you snapping because you have been holding all of that frustration in, and you are by yourself. I know it sucks, been there, done that. Most people with this problem get worse and more controlling because they feel they can. I know you love her, its why you are still there but, it can only take you so far. Women get jealous. Thats a fact but, it sounds like she acts that way because she has a problem with herself.....not you.....not the women you speak to. She will not be right until she realizes that fact. I was in a relationship for a long time and things got progressively worse, until she got violent. She might not be at that level yet but if you stay in that situation she will. She has got you by the balls and now you have to suck it up and protect yourself. You are still young, find yourself a young, sane girl and have fun. Just my .02.

How much port are you giving those and what subs are those. I can't really tell in the pic?

That is really big. I see you had to take the backseat completely out. Was it tough to get it out, because my next box will be about 4.5 and I just don't see it going through the trunk.

Of course that will be the next step for me, great minds think alike. Using just the tape was to see if it will perform well in the car, now that I know it will, it will become a part of the car.

Hey, I found my problem. I didn't do as great a job at sealing as I thought I did. LOL. I had a small 3 inch gap where the rear deck and box meet. I closed that up and WOW! For what it is, these things pound hard. I just wish I had a cam so I could show off. I def got my lows back and I am going to be firing forward in this car without a doubt. No trunk rattle at all, sounds a h##l of a lot better and I have a little door flex too. It is amazing the difference this made, who would have thought it....WOW!

Even though I am screwed on posting the pics. I felt I should give a small update on the switch. After taping the rear deck and moving my amp, I sealed the box off and noticed a big difference in sound. The subs don't sound as boomy as they used to and they do seem to be a lot louder but, I kinda lost my low end response. I don't know if it is because I didn't do a good enough job of sealing them off but it doesn't get as low as before. Are they any tricks to get my lows back as strong as they were before turning them? I don't have the most powerful set up but I think I may not have enough power to really seal off the P1s and get a boost in SQ. I did a really good job of taping everything off, I think, so I don't know what the problem could be. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Does anyone know how to get pics off of a Cricket Msgm8t phone? I went and did all of this taping off yesterday and now I can't get the pics off to post them. I can't send them to my e-mail because I don't have service with them anymore. From what I found on Google, I am screwed but hopefully yall might know a way.

Didn't see any part of the stereo install or equipment ... ... just the car ... It is the only vid I have right now. Once I get a new camera, I will be taking a lot more pic and vids of it. Sorry.

OK, going to the hardware store to buy some duct tape and give it a try. Will post pics in a couple hours.

X2 It is going to be a double din touch screen(don't know which one yet)2 12 inch DC XL's in the biggest box I can build without doing it in the trunk, 1 DC 3.5K to power them. I already have Infinity 6.5 coax's in the door, stock location, I plan on glassing them into a pod for the doors. Also, getting another set for the rear deck and glassing the entire thing, to make it nice and pretty. Might as well go with the DC 175.4 to power the mids and highs. I might do pods for the kicks, don't know about that yet. DC alt and a couple batteries to keep the voltage up. I will be doing a full glass trunk with LEDs showcasing the amps and to hide the sub box a little. False floor, false wall, everything I can think of to make this thing a show stopper. LOL That way I won't feel so bad about having to drive 2+ hours to compete. It will take a long time to be finished but when it is you will all see it on here I won't start a proper build log until I have everything bought and started though. I might post my temp set up, just to show how much of a difference it is going to be. I just hope no one laughs too much.

Do you have any pics or a build log of your system? I am interested to find out what works best for our cars. Glad to see I am not the only one on here.
