  1. A few years ago I seen something very similar to what your talking about, a guy put his denali pickup body onto a 2500 Dmax frame. I didn't get a chance to talk with the owner but I did quickly look at it while it was parked. Not sure on the specifics of what all it took but I'm sure it would be possible to duplicate.
  2. Use common sense when looking it over, I'd ask to look at all the receipts to prove its got a new head and timing belt. Make sure it's not leaking any oil or other lubricant's, look for smoke when you start it up if its smoking chances are its an oil burner. Also make sure all the fluids are at the proper level. Don't be afraid to ask the owner questions either. Obviously when your driving it put the car through it's paces check the clutch, brakes, steering and alignment. Make sure there aren't any unusual sounds, ticks or clicks.
  3. Thrush is a good choice too because their cheap but the quality is much better than cherrybomb's. Otherwise magnaflow or flowmaster if your lookin to spend a little more. Also being as it's a I6 your never going to get the growl of a V8 it's always going to have a loud roar no matter which muffler you put on.
  4. why not run E3's i been running them in my jeep for 3 yrs now now problem and my mpg improved when i put them in I tried them in both of my trucks a dakota with the 5.2 and a ram with the 5.9 and neither truck seemed to like them, they both just felt sluggish and were missing even at idle. So I ended up replacing them with autolite platinum's and both trucks run great now. If he can run them with no problems then by all means go for it it's just I didn't have any luck with them.
  5. Put your jeep on a diet and loose some excess weight, port and polish, magnum m1 intake, holley high flow throttle body and get a good set of headers. Don't waste your time on a throttle body body spacer, tuner or ignition. You can get a good set of plugs, wires and coil but their really not gonna do that much. Don't run E3'S either.
  6. X2, That's what I was thinking. I got a 97 Dakota with the 5.2L 318 and a 97 Ram with the 5.9L 360 both are extremely reliable and have plenty of power. Honestly, I'd stay away from any 4.7L I've heard many people who have had major engine issues. Also not sure if your aware of the notorious Dodge Automatic Transmission issues.
  7. Lets here some background info on the truck, like which engine, tranny, 4x4 or 2x4
