  1. so i finished it forgot to take some pictures of all the fiberglass and body work. but i listend to it and it sounded ok ut not what i was used to so i took it out the specs where 2.5 cubic feet tuned to 38 hz. o well time to start over.
  2. if the rcas dont fix it make sure all your grounds are at a central point with good clean contact to the chassis if possible.
  3. thanks everyone, I cut the ring with a jigsaw free hand turned out pretty good. The lincoln lt is the truck they made the mark viii from 93 to 98. i had the sub in my car for about 4 months and it is a great sounding sub that gets pretty loud. should be more updates tonight. hopefully if i get a chance to work on it.

  7. yeah those are not easy cars to replace the radio in. Every time i see one pull up to the shop i cringe. They always have problems and u never know exactly what parts u need untill u are in there doing it. If u have a good idea of how to rewire a factory amp thien u can prob do it but if u do not have any tech info on the car i would not touch it. For ex. directechs or something of that sort that gives u wire colors and locations.
  8. i have had about every kicker sub in the past couple years before switching to boston and they are good for what they are. I liked howthe squares had more cone area than a traditional round sub but the sq is not very good but cant bet them for the price.
  9. my friend runs his off a orion 2500d daily and has been for about two years so i would say they can handle pretty much what ever you want to put on them.
  10. its really not a hard vehicle if it has the amp they make a bypass harness for it and sometimes they have a standard harness with rca ends on it that just plug in the front and rear outputs. you dont need anything special except the standard ford keys to take the radio out. if u have any other questions just let me know.

  15. thats what we where going for we wanted to have the trunk space and still have some bass as u can c its alot more for the sq than the bass. I know convertibles are not good sq or spl cars but they just wanted something to sound good.

  18. sounds like u have a good plan going. Not sure if 12 subs will fit in that box and u will prob be limited on seeing out of the back window. but that would be sick to see. good luck
