  1. Ok thanks. I have 40 in my cart but for 6$ more should i get the tinned ones?
  2. What about these? littl emore expensive but... http://www.amazon.com/PARTSMART-SMR35656-Flared-Copper-Lug/dp/B004MF5ZMM/ref=sr_1_3?m=A2SUCQG1F31RUU&s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1334588913&sr=1-3
  3. What is the 2/0 1/2 inch and 1/4 inch? is that the bolt hole size? which size is most common? 1/2 inch seems pretty big
  4. Yea i use knu and i use 1/0 lugs i get mine from ebay they are$ 26 for 20. The person that sells them iscall ed windycity You got a link?
  5. Well the knu is over sized. I have a few 2/0 lugs here I borrowed from a freinds work and they are 2/0 they fit the wire sung. I don't have anywhere here to buy them, thy are like 6-12 dollars each here. :S
  6. Im getting some copper lugs on ebay and am down to 2 choices. Just want to make sure of what I'm getting, They are for Knukonceptz Fleks OFC 1/0 so I should get 2/0 lugs correct? They will be hydraulic crimped. Which ones do you think I should go with? better deal? Thanks Choice#1 http://www.ebay.com/itm/290290578119?item=290290578119&viewitem=&vxp=mtr Choice #2 http://www.ebay.ca/itm/20-Copper-Battery-Lugs-2-0-3-8-hole-NOS-/251007759370?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a713a740a
  7. Yeah but i want to spread the power from all 3 batts to a main source. Instead of from the last battery as I will be drawing a fair amount. So what your saying is I can do that but still connect all the batts with wires also?
  8. Yeah damn D2700 is like 3/4" smaller and I'm not too experienced with metal work. What it I have the buss bars seperate form the terminals? (like exo did in the van) one along the pos side and one along the negitive with short jumpers to the buss bar from the terminals. Then from the bar to power and bar to ground? Just a thought.
  9. Well I got 2 xp3000 batts 2 weeks ago for my new build. I checked them when they got here and never noticed anything wrong. They are resting at 12.8 - 12.9. They have been in their boxes on my floor for 2 weeks, I check the voltage every now and then and they are fine. However, I was making a battery rack for them today and when I put the angle iron beside them I noticed the 2 xp3000s were SLIGHTLY swollen. Not enough to notice unless you have a staight eddge beside them. The D2700 is fine. Should I be concerned? This is the first time I have owned XS power batts and am very anxious to ge tthem all hooked up and then I notice this. The are not exposed to high temperatures either.
  10. Well, I got 2 xp3000's and one d2700 that will be in paralell in my trunk. I was just going to make jumpers to connect them and hook amps to last xp3000 but I read if your going to be drawing alot of power that you shouls spead the power load out. Is it possible to make buss bar(s) for these 3 batts? Whats the best way to do so. Thanks oh and the bolts are m6 yes? The D2700 is the car starter batt but they are all going in the trunk anyway so they will be paralell.
  11. Also, wouldn't hurt to check your air filter, make sure its not all gunked up. and that there are no pinches in the intake hose.
  12. LOL heard of bass opening doors but this is new to me
  13. Yes thats true but the temperature does run hotter while parked then when driving. At least on my car it does w/electric fan. Parked around 104 F and driving is like 90-97 ish. That might not be his issue though, could be alot of things.
  14. Are you parked? or reving the engine while parked? If you are keeping the rpms up while parked the engine will get hotter as there is no airflow from driving, only a fan. Also the A/C and HO alt all put some strain on the engine so it is working a bit harder with all of those running. But if its getting way out of hand then I would get it looked at. Also, did you check your coolant level?
  15. I dont have "backseats" (walled). I will be running 0 ga to alt bracket but I definitely want the batts grounded in the trunk also. Might grind out the factory ground tomorrow to make room. Just need to get anoother good ground thats close to the batts. Cant really nut and bolt it as its all flat smooth metal. I cant access the other side. IDK ill have to figure something out... There is a pretty small threaded stud coming out of the side of the tire well. Maybe id I sand it bare and ground there. Its Petty thin stud but the flat metal is what maters correct?
  16. Yeah that makes sense. Less resistance that way its direct. But would it hur to ground my batts in the trunk also? I like to over do things
  17. Yes im waiting on wire to get here im going to do 2 runs of 1/0 to ground my alt bracket to the d2700. And there is no visible strut tower in the trunk :S all smooth sheet metal. The Rear shock is bolted on with one bolt on the outside of car. I'm debatiing where to put the damn batts at in there. If i have them near the center the ground is short but the Power to my amps is long. and vise versa with them where the ground is.
  18. It's a unibody car he said, so there is no frame. Op I would find another location for the battery's if you can't fit them in the spare tire well...looks like you have room without having to relocate that ground unless you want to keep the spare there. If not just sand off the paint to bare metal close to where the factory ground is and relocate it there. Stay away from seatbelt bolts they usually don't make good grounds. Yeah, I just measured 3 batts are 20" across so they would only fit where that ground structure is as the tire well narrows as it goes back. I was going to put the batts on a platform in the very back of trunk but they would be 2-3 ft away from the ground and be hard as hell to get in and out as the trunk is so deep. I dont know what I should do. I plan on stacking the crescendos so its neater and takes up less space. I also dont want 280 pounds of batts off center. Trying to make the weight even. So i guess im gonna sit and scratch my head for a while. Wouldn't think something so simple is so complicated. Damn cars cant be uniform gotta be all odd shaped lol
  19. Well, I'm in the process of finding the best location for my 3 XS batts and 2 3500w amps in my trunk. I was going to put the batts in behind where the back seats were but It would be hard to get them in and out of there weighing that much. So i figures i could put them in the spare tire well right below the trunk latch. only problem is the factory ground location is in the way. I was going to remove it but was not sure how to make another GOOD ground in my trunk (Unibody car) any idead on arrangement? or how to get another ground? Thanks heres some pics. Whats going in
