  1. Well I want to know what would be the correct steps to detail/restore the paint on my 66 Dart? Like I always here about polish, compound, claybar, and wax, but I am curious on what order they need to be done? I was using some Turtle Wax brand Polish/Compound on the dart to help remove some of the oxidation. It would work good when I could get the compound off but the stuff dried up so fast it was super difficult to remove. I tried using my craftsman electric polisher and it wasnt much help either. Any kits or brands you guys suggest? Thanks alot!
  2. They are some pretty awesome batteries from what i hears. You may look in to O'reilly(sp.?) parts because they sell that same battery renamed for there company. I think its called a Super Start AGM or something like that. And its only like $140 too! Should be easy doing warranties in the future too.
  3. Looks good but just a quick question. Why are do you have 2 ground on the back battery?
  4. Oh yeah I forgot to mention I am not really gonna run anything huge in this car. I am going to run 2 4" speakers in the dash, 2 6x9 speakers in the rear deck, maybe a 10" sub in the truck, and aftermarket headunit. I am running factory style alternator. Its not the original alt but its been replaced. It is rated at 60 amp. Also I do disconnect the battery cables but lately I have been doing that and the battery is still draining. So even with the cables disconnected its draining.
  5. I forgot to mention that the car sits for long periods of time. That is why I am kinda leaning toward a AGM/Gel Cell battery. I dont want to have to jump start the vehicle after sitting for a while. Thanks everyone!
  6. I am wondering what kind of battery you guys are running in your cars? I currently have a old 8 year old battery in my 1966 Dodge Dart that I badly need to replace. Also what kind of battery chargers are you all using? I saw that Advance Auto has Optima Redtops for $189.99 but you can use promo code "VISA" and that will knock off $50. So the Optima Redtop will be knocked down to $139.99. Wont be bad because I can just pick it up locally so I wont have to worry about shipping. Also if I need it shipped they ship for free because of how much the purchase is. But I am curious about Optima batteries. Only reason I say that is because I have never ran them before. I hear that the older Optima's were awesome but the newer ones are not so much. Well thanks for the help!
  7. At sears they have a nice scanner in your price range. It is craftsman brand one. My friend has a matco one and it looks identical to the craftsman one. Craftsman $150 vs. Matco $600. You choose lol.
  8. Sounds like an awesome deal! I bought some blue 4 gauge wire from them a while back and I was very satisfied with it. Not bad for 30ft of Black 4 gauge wire for $16.95 shipped. Link: http://www.audiosavings.com/audiosavings-day-deal/index.aspx?item_cd=30+FEET+4G150-BLACK
  9. Found some terminals on ebay that were pretty cheap with fast shipping after all. Thanks everyone!
  10. Well all I need is two 1/0 ring terminals to finish my Big3 on my 1966 Dart. Let me know the best price you can do shipped to 88101. Thanks!
  11. I am sure it can be fixed. I would suggest to just go to walmart and buy some flat black nail polish and touch it out. I did that with my wheels and you would have never noticed I curb checked them.
  12. Looks like ebay must had shut down the auction and deleted the seller. It now says the seller is not a registered user. If any of you have bought any of this product I would go to your paypal account and cancel the payment.
  13. Any ways back to my questions lol.

Did the rattletrap actually make a difference in your truck?

How much did you use in your truck?

Lastly where did you get it from? (fatmat.com or ebay.com)

I plan on finishing up my new set up with 2 15" DC LVL 3 woofers in a 7*ft box tuned to 32hz.

    Sorry for all the questions,

    Pablo U

  14. I have had eDead 45 on my truck for about 2-3 year now with no problems at all. I also live in New Mexico where it is in the 100's in temp daily with cold winters.

I know that if properly clean my surfaces and prep everything well that most deadeners should work fine.

Most people are just all over these other companies just because of what they hear.

  15. I was saw in one of your threads that you have rattletrap in your truck.

I was wondering how you like it?

I am interested in buying some for my Dakota to do the floors and back of my cab.

I have already did my doors and roof with eDead 45 when they had that stuff avaliable.

People say fatmat ***** but I think people here one thing bad and they automaticly think its bad. ...

  16. Nice build! What are the specs on the box?
  17. I have a very small piece of Fatmat Megamat left. I dunno if it will help out. Its like 5"x5" in size.
  18. well I am wondering if I will need a remote start bypass. I have a multimeter and I know how to use most of the fuctions. Not really sure whats going to be needed to do this.
  19. Well I found a pretty decently looking remote start/keyless entry system for sale. Its sounds like a pretty good deal at $50 shipped. I have been wanting something like this for my girlfriends 1998 Nissan Altima(automatic). The car has power locks and windows but she does not have a remote to unlock her doors. So I am wondering how hard it would be to wire up the remote start and key less entry? Anyone have any idea if I need any special bypass connectors or cables for this kind of vehicle? I am pretty good with 12volt so I am thinking it cant be too bad but I dunno if I should take it to a professional shop or try it myself. Here is the unit found(Avital 4103LX): http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_21057_Avital-4103LX.html Thanks for the help guys!
  20. Here are 2 DC LVL 3 15's compared to a RE SRi 10:
  21. Are these bulbs the regular 9007 bulbs or the Hi/lo 9007 bulbs? Because I am looking for the 9007's that have the Hi/lo feature.
