idling is not good for your car for extended periods of time though, it can be extremely taxing on the cooling system especially in the summer heat Good point

Even at an idle ur not burnin that much fuel. I have a 5.9L V8 magnum and i've locked my keys in it before and no one could break into my car for me for 4 hrs. I barely lost any gas at all.

My ex cheated on me with a guy that had a crx. He had turned it into a cop magnet so called a few connections at my local station and now everytime he's spotted doin even 36 in a 35 they bust his ass This is the first time i've seen one of these and not felt deep hatred towards the crx comunity. Looks good! lol

Well i like said before, i didnt start this thread to bash anyone who owns a donk because car audio and customization is all personal preferance. Some people think my bass hobby is a waste of money just like i think their kayaking hobby is a waste of time. I probably should've narrowed the criteria down to a performance stand point instead of just in general. I cant really judge because i've only ridden in a donk once and hated it because it didnt feel smooth, but thats just one car. Someone else's ride could ride like a cloud idk. I just wanted to see what other people thought about them.

From a showroom perpesctive it's beautiful. It's got a hot red with a modest chrome accent to it on 26" rims. Red interior (not like the old ford bronco red) and i even helped throw in a new set of door speakers and helped design his bass set up. It just seems though that using it as a daily driver is a waste of $$$

this one had 26s and it seemed like it took forever for him to stop and we felt every single bump in the road. Maybe a bad install by the local shop?

I just want to get some opinions on donks. I'm not here to bash donk owners or anything like that, i just fail to see the reasoning behind it. I rode in a customer's 98 Ex-police interceptor Crown Vic donk and that thing was a terrible ride from a performance stand point.

Pay it and be done with it. In my town it's no loud music in suberbs or after 9:59pm. I can roll down hwy 123 or hwy 153 or hwy 8 balsting as loud as i want. Actually had a cop pull me over just so he could check out what i had and the mods i had made to my old celica. But i did get slapped with $227 ticket because my stupid little cousin was in my car and turned the bass way up when i was out of the car talking to my girl in a little subdivision and a cop was going by and heard it. I was able to get it dismissed b/c one of the deacons at my church is a cop so he took care of it. You can't win in traffic court 95% of the time.

Free? How so? In the state of Florida, windshield cracks and chips are repaired free of charge. According to Florida statute 627.7288, if you have comprehensive coverage on your vehicle your insurance company will pick up the tab for any repair or replacement that you may need. The law states that your deductible will be waived. In most cases, your insurance company will send someone to your home or office to replace or repair your windshield. Same for South Carolina. Course my office has never had to replace a windshield due to bass lol

one aspect of car audio i've never been able to comprehend has got to be fusing. I have no clue what to do with the fusing in my setup im building.

I say the same, get some 15's in that bish. If you can put the electrical in to handle it and have enough room for the box and amp then this would be your best option. IMO

Im guilty of that. When i had my 05 celica gt 5speed i ran that bastard hard for the first few days. Dont worry bout it at. All cars break down whether it be a 2012 or a 1985. My stepmoms 96 Accord has seen less shop time than my dads 02 tacoma and the tacoma only has 40k miles on it to the accords 167k. Shit happens.
