  1. It shouldn't take three more weeks from the time the motors chromed to get everything in the shop. I just want my stuff before august.
  2. I had my gain set to clip at 21/52(?) because it would distort when turned past 21. My brother cranked it to 30 and clipped the shit out of my DD3515 for about 3 seconds before I turned it down. I could smell it in those 3 seconds. Edit: damn, Derrick said the same thing, ninja'd
  3. Lol I hope my subs will be as bullet proof as yours Derrick. But I agree with what your saying. It's like insurance on a sub. You'll have plenty of room to upgrade later on, you can put the Lv 5 through hell and back, and you won't have to worry about a dumbass friend cranking your system to the max because they want it louder.
  4. Awesome man! My stepmoms '03 Honda Accord does this with stock everything. I wanna get it metered
  5. The XL's will perform about as good as the LV 5 on that amount of power. And you'll only need an extra battery to run the 2200. So go for it
  6. If your hitting 148 right now, I believe you could easily get the 150 with more cone area. But you never know how the box will act, could raise it, could drop. Ever got your amp clamped? I bet you could hit 150 with your current setup, just test a bunch of stuff like placement of box and such. Look at fecupes thread and get some ideas, I'm sure you'll gain.
  7. Listen to RAM, he knows what he is doing. I'd agree with 2 cubes per sub too, a 1.25 cube box would be better for a 10". Build a 4 cube box tuned to 35 hz with atleast 14 sq inches of porter cube.
  8. Like rebal said, which fuses are blowing.
  9. Fuses are too small, and wire is probably too small. What gauge wire do you have?
  10. Just check out the other wall builds man, get some ideas. For a wall, you want lots of port while still giving the subs their right amount of space. Just look at build logs mate. Im currently working on my wall.
  11. 7 cubes should be the biggest you go, and tuning to 29 hz... Good luck playing more than decaf.
  12. Think that amp is only 2ohm stable.
  13. Good luck getting that power with the budget that you have. Why not get two Crescendo BC3500 and strap at .5 ohm each, you'll get a little under 4000k from each with proper electrical.
  14. Lots of cone area, power, nice box design, and testing over and over again.
  15. I got scared shitless, turned my lights on, and then rofl'd. XD
  16. Holy shit, did you go to the very last page to find this??? Worst bump I've seen yet on here.
  17. If you add port, you get lower frequency. To raise tuning, you have to be able to somehow shorten it up.
  18. Hell no, forget the cap. If your gonna run 2200 watts on stock alt, you NEED snotty battery, and a good one too. Or else you can say bye bye to your alt and amp.
  19. Lol, that's what ima have to do in my truck. Got it walled off and im not used to not being able to see out my window. So ima buy a camera and a monitor and somehow glass it into the dash
  20. I beleive there is a way you can laminate te steel to the wood.
  21. Probably rolled on it. Just get another screen.
  22. Design it the same way as designing one for a single sub, and just account for twice displacement. Use the Torres box calculator. Some people on here will have actual input though, I've never ran kicker.
