  1. Depending on what type of battery it is, you can leave it. If it's an AGM battery, you will be fine with leaving it and running the others in the back. If its a different type of battery though, you may want to switch it out. Im sure someone with much more experience will chime in and totally prove me wrong, but...
  2. You can never have overkill on your electrical mate. I would actually recommend getting that second battery after the alt so you know your voltage wont drop. You can never have steady enough voltage
  3. Be careful trying to not blow your subs mate.
  4. The bigger the speaker, the more cone area. The more cone area, the more air that can be moved. A 10" will hit harder than an 8" in an ideal enclosure. Also, the more watts an amp puts out, the louder it gets. A 20k rms amp will destroy a 1200rms amp. Sundown speakers last alot longer than walmart brands or entry level woofers, if you don't do something to mess it up. Yea, you would need mdf. Depending on your space, you would be MUCH better off with a custom built box, which is simple to make. Normally pre-fab potted boxes are tuned too high and are not ideal enclosures for subs.
  5. I saw some of those at walmart a few days ago. If I get another drive, it'll be one of these
  6. Alright, my apologies then. I don't know much about that amp, but for some decent speakers at a cheap price, I would go with two AQ HDC3 10"s or two SA-10. Both aren't too much (around 230 for each sub for either brand I believe). You can also get one DC LV4 and an aq1200 and I can promise you'll be more than satisfied
  7. Just gotta say, your the reason why having systems is looked down upon by so many. It's people with the same mindset as you that get the law on our cases all the time.
  8. Built a box designed by Fecupe. How good the box was, idk.
  9. You won't really hear a difference between this amp and an Aq1200. Both are solid amps, but you won't hear a difference in, say, 200watts. But it's DC, so you gotta go with it
  10. Iirc, the remote reads a lower voltage than your voltage actually is.
  11. I liked my DD3515, but it just didn't get as loud as I wanted. It was still a great sub though. I have to say, I would probably take my old sub over the dd3515 though. I had a CV Stroker 12 in a compression horn( right term) that my buddy built and it sounded so clean on ANY song.
  12. Sucks to hear that man, but your truck is so badass! I want a white one so badly!
  13. Before anyone jumps on porksoda's case about bumping, I wanna say thanks i have the exact same truck and it was nice to see what a wall does in it xD
  14. Congrts man I'll prolly have to order some once I get my 18"s and front stage done.
  15. The new Sony explode 20k rms 8" for 50$ at your local walmart?
  16. Nah, not yet. I was talking to Dustin last night on Xbl and I told him I wasnt sure if I wanted to leave all my trim panels out in the back of my truck or not. I get my max dimensions from all the panels off. If I put them on, I lose about 6" of width, so my max dimensions would change to 53w x 29 high x 20d.
  17. I heard level 7- 8's Except they have to stabilize the magnetic field first cause they keep collapsing themselves into mini black holes Looks like hes gonna beat that 200 that Meade hit xD
  18. Yeah, good point mate I'll see how my next paycheck is. I started on my A-pillars but I need to order my speakers so I can finish up.
  19. I know, but I'm thinking I'll probably need 4 sheets of birch to get it right, instead of two sheets of mdf( I already have two from previous builds)
  20. No home depot over here, got closed down if it's around 45 a sheet for actual birch, I'll probably get three sheets. But I can get 4 sheets of mdf for about 90$, so ugh, choices choices.
