yeah i read that. i like your video btw. it sounds pretty loud and those subs are barely moving!

i thought this was gonna be an update from DC when i clicked on it:( but those subs look great!

with that power you can get some 2 level 2's from dc, or 2 ascendant audio assassins, or you could go with one 15" or 18" level 3 or 4, or ascendant audio arsenal or choas with rooms to upgrade your amp later on

i was gonna get a pair of dc 1.2k's for my 4 level 3 10's but im going with a little more power. i think the dc's are supposed to be shipped around the first week of august

supercharged dc's ideas would work. another thing you can do is put a piece of mdf inside the port to decrease the port area which would lower tuning as well

that setup is amazing! i love armies of small subs

DC recommends 6 cubes per sub but since youre giving the subs less power than they can handle i think you should be able to make them a little bigger than 6 cubes and youll get more output

6x9's dont have as good of sound quality as 6 1/2's what he means by an mdf baffle is cutting a piece of wood to bolt in place of the 6x9 and then cutting a hole for the 6 1/2" in it

I broke my kicker KX3 crossover so im looking for a new one. it doesnt have to be a kx3 but i just need one with 2 inputs and 3 outputs for front, rear, and sub.

if you want to have two batteries just do two runs of 0-1/0 gauge wire from front to back and connect the batteries. do the big 3 with that and you should be getting full power to your amp with an amp that small though you could just go with one big AGM battery in the front and not have any problems.

how much power are you giving each sub?

yeah just use the ported side to find tuning just like a regular ported box. i think port area should be between 15-20 sq in per cube

4th order would get my vote. ive read his build thread and its a mystery why hes missing 50hz so its not like its a common problem.

the reason they can be tuned so high and play so low is because the sealed side puts pressure on the subs so they dont bottom out at low frequencies. when you play the same notes in a ported box tuned to 3x Hz itll unload below tuning

i dont have any experience with that specific vehicle but i can help a little bit. what are you looking to do with your setup? im assuming just a loud daily. if thats what you want then just a ported box with subs and port rear would be the easiest option. a rockford T500-1bd isnt going to be very much power for 3 12's but you can upgrade later if you want louder. with 3 2 ohm subs you can wire it down to 1.33 ohms. if you want it to be even louder then i would make it subs and port forward and sealed off from the trunk but that would be a little more difficult especially if its your first install. cant wait to see you start building! good luck

im working on designing a fourth order for 4 10's so i can give you a little help. theyres normally a 2:1-3:1 ported to sealed ratio. the sealed side for 2 15's would probably be around 2-3.5 cubes but im not exactly sure about that. the ported side gets tuned to 45-55 hz. also, the bigger you make the ported side the more peaky your box will be.

Just put a small battery like a xs d375 where you were going to put that cap

i would get rid of the cap, upgrade the fornt battery to an AGM and add a second AGM battery in the back. 1/0 big three and 1/0 front to back, maybe a positive and negative from front ot back depending on your budget.

your best bet would probably be to use a layer of damplifier on each panel then put luxury liner on the back wall if you need more sound dampening

what kind of car is this going in? what size treo woofers are you getting? what amp is powering them normally you can go a little bigger than the recommended box size and get more efficiency. if you are putting less than rms to them then i would go with the 3.8 cube box design up there. if youre running rms then you can go a little bigger than specs. if your running over rms then make the box around specs or slightly smaller. also why are you tuning them so low?

im just gonna guess and say that tuning the bass knob would be just like tuning an amp or any line driver. first find the highest unclipped level from the headunit, then the bass knob, then the amp

yeah you can just glue one on with ca glue. it probably wont affect the sound at all unless of course its a funky pup dust cap

you can wire them down to 1.5 ohms which could be safe, could cause problems. i doubt the difference between 1.5 and 2 would be a problem though
