  1. Damn this is perfect I was just planning on getting 2 D3100's for the back and a D5100 under the hood for my next build now I can get the XP3000's and save some cash for the back battery bank.
  2. Actually not a dumb question sometimes with daytime running lights the HID's end up staying on.
  3. Nope its fake and old no way he saw this today. I saw this on FB months ago was a huge prank and got Mickey D's in trouble because ppl thought they did it but it had nothing to with them.
  4. Yes, you only need 2 outputs, but you need 6 or more speaker inputs. You need to grab all of the speaker outputs of the BMW amp so that the RCAs give you full range output. So lets say the BMW amplifier has six speaker wires, 2 for tweeters, 2 for mids, and 2 for subs. The DQL-8 takes all 6 speaker wires and sums them and creates a full range output on the TWO RCA jacks. If you use a 2 channel LOC and connect it to only one of those pairs of speaker wires you will only get the frequencies that those speaker wires put out. So if you were to grab the tweeter wires you will only get high frequency range, if you grab the sub wires you will only get the low frequency range. You can't just connect all of the speaker outputs together because that would damage the BMW amp. I hope this makes sense. ^^^^^THIS^^^^^^^
  5. Where in Miami you from? I am from west Kendal and went to FIU I am from North Miami went to Miami Northwestern (Bull4Life ). I moved down to Homestead in 07 after I came back from college at FAMU.
  6. I don't think he can. OP what year make and model is your whip. We have had a few cars where you can't change the stock HU or it is more expensive to change it than anything. One car we did recently was a Taurus I believe so we just relocated the aftermarket HU to the glove compartment and left the stock HU alone.
  7. Love that place swear by them for everything I could possibly get audio related. I wish they carried a few more brands but I order from them at the very least twice a month and I have never had not one issue with them.
  8. Everything they have all said above me except South Beach. I have lived in Miami for 24 years and IMHO South Beach is over glorified and more of a pain to go to than anything else. The only reason to really go is to check out the local talent but if you are going with family steer clear. Plus if you have bass in the ride that is a no no for anything over the bridge the minute they hear bass you get lights. Aside from that every other beach in Florida is free game. EDIT - I forgot to mention the ridiculous traffic and expensive hard to find parking.
  9. There should not be a wait considering Steve is up to date on all shipments and he is pretty good about getting shit to you as soon as possible.
  10. The purpose of adding tiles would do something different than fiberglassing or 45's or will it provide the same response?
  11. He moved it to the correct section. I just hope he reads and learns on here because the build does have potential just needs some fine tuning here and there.
  12. Are you sure you did it accurately because I have heard setups like that before and if done right they sound pretty damn good.
  13. Regardless of if it rains often you shouldn't take chances like that and if need be get a bed cover to seal that and even if you don't have terminals shave that area down to clean bare metal and ground the amps correctly. Off the top of my head I can think of multiple ways to water proof that area if you didn't want to lose the whole bed.
  14. Nice idea in a truck with no space but I would clean it up a bit and get those grounds on bare metal. The problem with doing that is when it rains that box will go to shit plus you have wires running and no proper seal with holes near those amps. Water + Electricity =...you do the math. Don't want to see that equipment go to shit from one very rainy day.
  15. I love Beretta's but my first gun was a Glock and I am in the market for a 1911 after BigSix schooled me on their prices but as far as short clips go I usually don't need to get more than 2 shots off if someone is coming into the house but when I am out in about I carry a Glock all day. Someone once told me a Glock is like an AK no matter heat rain sleet snow mud whatever that bish is going to shoot .
  16. I will have my funds together for these in February so I am super excited. Hopefully nothing else on my car decides to break and I don't get hit with anymore debris I should be good.
  17. LMAO at the responses about his girl. Trey_Dog was also selling a CEA compliant MTX Jackhammer JH1200 you can look him up in the for sale section and I believe his is brand new.
  18. There use to be an app in Cydia that you could use to tether the iphone using your current data but it required a jailbreak. I use to believe it was un traceable by AT&T until I got a message to stop tethering or else from them. I use my rooted Atrix w/ Barnacle Wifi. The other way to do it is pay for an AT&T tether plan which is like an extra $60 I believe.
  19. LOL not a fan of bose, they are like the JL of headphones more of a name than anything else.
  20. You dont NEED a crossover, it would be nice to have one but if money is an issue you can purchase bass blockers for the tweeters plain and simple. Plus their cheap you simply connect one end to the pos terminal and the other end attaches to your speaker wire and it will block any unwanted frequencies.
  21. LOL no over the ear very comfortable because I listen to hours of music.
  22. Yes you can drop the seleniums down to 4 ohms just run pos to pos and neg to neg on each speaker terminal and then from one of the speakers run pos to neg on the amp so i reads them at 4 ohms. As for the tweets if those are 8 ohms as well I believe you can do the same and bring them down to 4 ohms.
