  1. Sounds like a smart move my man. SA has some nice products
  2. @EVAlonSo: where would you recommend? I really want to ground it to the frame but don't want to drill any holes through the floor. I got to take the back seats out to see if there are any places to go through. You happen to know if there are any places under the carpet?
  3. x3 man. Sorry to hear that happened. How long did he keep the amp for the terminals to get corroded? Maybe call the amp company and hope they have some replacement speaker terminals and replacement screws instead of having to come out of your own pocket to buy yet another amp? Some people need to learn how respect equipment and other peoples stuff. @Autruche made a good point though
  4. I couldn't find any MM series anywhere so I had to go with their new product SM series.
  5. Yea I agree the company needs to update their info and post RMS. If you check out my youtube channel you can see what this entry level system can do. YouTube
  6. I got to go with Loud on this one. Looks decent for the money but doesnt have the RMS for 2ohm or 1ohm. The peak power is lookin ok but I dont look at peak power normally I try to look at the RMS rating. If you can keep your voltage near 14-14.4V you should be happy with the output of the amp. Its got 3x30A fuses so I'm guessing at least 900W? I'm currently saving for a new system at the moment and its so tempting to buy a new amp for what I have now but if I save the money I would spend on a new amp then I'll have more for the amp I want on the new system. Might consider saving that extra cash for when you get that new system. What amp do you have now?
  7. O yea the rms handling is def looked at instead of peak power. I was just saying I really dont think a 12" Q Power New Deluxe could handle 1500w but maybe for a couple second burp. They arent really comp subs but they do their job until I get my new system
  8. Good explanation Ch0sen. I think I'll just wait for my new system as this one I really dont think would stand up to around a 2k rms. Q Power says these subs can handle a 1500W peak. I really think they would come all apart just my opinion haha. Class D amps really are the future of amps. Until a 100% efficient amp comes out. Wont that be the day? Glad to see some more NC members also.
  9. Yea its not the best amp. I had bought the amp on a budget paid 140 and possibly could sell it for 125 if my buddy comes through and wants the amp. Only way I would buy another amp is sell this one then add a little cash to the money I already had. I have noticed that I certianly could put a little more power on these subs than what's on it. I need to clamp meter the amp and see what the RMS is. Autotek/Maxx Sonics has been around for a little while but there are most def better amps than this autotek. I'm guess around 430-460 for my RMS on 2 channels. I don't like hatin but its just not satisfying. Thanks for the thoughts on it also. If anyone else has opinions chime on in
  10. Hey what's up everyone. I was just at a local audio shop here in town and I saw a Massive Audio amp (pic below) with 800 rms and either 1500 or 1800 peak output. I am current running an Autotek SM2-1200 (pic below). It has 600w x 2chan x 2ohms. Would it be worth upgrading to a digital amp from what I have currently? In reality which one is more efficient and which one would produce the best sound? I would just like to have a little more power than what I have. The amp is also pushing 2 12" Q Power New Deluxe subs. I just want to have something decent until I get my bigger system Saving up for 2 DC lvl 4's with a DC 2K or a Cresendo BC2000. In the process of upgrading electrical now so that will be ready for a bigger system. Thanks for any help as it is much appreciated. -James Autotek: Massive:
  11. Most of my fishing is done in Weldon, NC and Atlantic Beach, NC. @727: nice brown. I've never had much luck with mountain trout. Love fly fishing up there in the mountains though. Usuall head up there a couple times a year
  12. Almost 17lbs on 4lb mono was feat in itself. If I can find my picture of the citation ill post it up. Its gotten lost in 3 moves but I'm lookin for it cause its nice to have. Also braided line is amazing in every way its even more abrasion resistant againt river obstacales and piers. Also you are correct I was talkin about striped bass but I just call them rockfish and whatt your buddy has done is unbelieveable I couldn't believe some of those pics. That one 60+ pound striper he caught had to be a record. I'm going to have my own line record one of these days. Ill be glad to see it. -james
  13. Wow man nice catches. I do most of my fishing at the coast from the beach to about 20 miles out. I use to fish almost every weekend but 2 jobs have got me tied down now. I do a little bass fishing and then I. Fish for shad and rockfish a lot in the rivers here in NC when they are in spawning in the rivers. Ill have to remember to take some pics of the better size fish I catch and post them whenever I can get back fishing. I like the challange of fishing with very light pound test in freshwater from 2lb-8lb and then 8lb-12lb for rockfish. In saltwater fishing I like using 8-16lb depending on what I'm doin. Also use 20-35lb test for trolling reels. Congrats on the weight man. Any of those catches citations? Or state records?
  14. @azag: Really likin the v-twin motor there and such a classic lighter boss
  15. The link below is a link to a guy who explains zippo tricks in very good detail. He also has 4 of his own hot sauces for sale (guy loves peppers all the way from jalapenos to ghost chilies). Also has a knife/outdoor shop as he is an avid knife collector and reviews every knife he owns/tries. Might be worth checking out. I learned how do all my tricks from his directions haha. YouTube
  16. Lol looks like some duct tape might become their friend to keep everything down
  17. My man that right there looks good. Looks near about like the Southern BBQ. Props on takin the time to properly smoke it too
  18. Couldn't be alternator whine could it? Are your rca's or power wires close to any motors such as the A/C fan motor? Just a few thoughts as you have tried my top ideas
  19. Quick demo vids up on youtube

  20. I live here in Rocky Mount and you can hear systems all through the night haha but yea its pretty decent around here. I can't find an audio club to save my life though. I will agree it has slowed down a little but with the economy like it is and hardly no jobs here in NC I guess I can see why. I hope it will make a comeback though. Maybe we oughta think of tryin to get a club goin or get a NC chapter goin. Hit me up if your ever travelin and want to see others systems. NC has is a very chill state if you are in thre right place. Good luck with the move and welcome to NC bro!
  21. Yea they are good lighters if you like to have just one lighter instead of many but I'm always finding the small one inbetween the seats in the car after it falls out of my pocket. So needless to say I got the small one to just put on a shelf now haha and I carry the bigger one everyday.
  22. Idk I just had an idea to throw this out there just to see what everyone thought. I did pick off topic since it was pretty random for us bass heads haha
  23. Hey what's up y'all? Anyone else out there love zippos? It can be fun learning tricks with them also but they can be useful from everyday use to survival situations. Great lighters and the style hasnt changed much at all over the decades. If anyone would like to post pics/vids of there zippos that is more than welcome. Just want to generally talk about zippos or if your troubleshooting this is the place. Feel free to ask any questions or share stories of your zippo. Hope to see some other zippo enthusiasts out there.
