  1. You can't have separate charging if you're charging both with same alternator. They must be in parallel. but the battery being that low sounds like it's not getting anything at all. Connect them with 1/0, or buy another kinetic to replace factory battery
  2. ^ yeah that's pretty high, I hope that's cold start and it drops down to 15ish after warm if this is your daily
  3. Sounds like you're not charging stock battery if it's at 11.2v, I'm havent a hard time going through this info or maybe its just me. So you have a dual alt bracket, with factory alt charging stock battery?
  4. If you can ground on the alternator bracket that's perfect
  5. ^ srsly, he seems legit safety with the orange vest and all...magazine jams so look down barrel LOL
  6. First you shouldn't be running your subs on a 4 channel amp, second that amp is pretty cheap and overrated
  7. it's the area that matters not the width. it is on the low side but with those dimensions that's about the best you get
  8. Here's a rough design of your max dimensions. If you haven't bought the subs yet, I'd only get 1 with the volume you have.
  9. You actually divide in^3 by (12x12x12) to get ft^3. Then multiply by two for subs. Which gives .0079 ft^3 displacement for both subs. Still seems off, I'd check your info again brother, good luck yea... i dont know... it says SUB DISP. L so idk if thats sub displacement lineir cause then i have NO idea how to figure that out... lol http://www.americanb...l/product_id/23 Theres the sub....... Ahhhh there you go. L means liters, a metric unit of volume. Convert that to cubic ft = .241 each - so total displacement of 2 subs is .482 ft^3

  11. That feeling when you sell all your stuff, then the next day 20 kids at college cruise around with music and what they think is 'loud'.

    1. ehckz

      ehckz

      LOL that is the worst

  12. What units is your sub displacement in? Make sure you find it ft^3 if you're using torres 6.824 each is not right
  13. Put your battery on a low amp charge for a while, if the alt wasn't plugged in and charging you had drained the battery starting the vehicle, etc
  14. Not sure if this goes here, but it has to do with tunes and frequencies so check it out. I found it very interesting. The rice takes different shapes from the resonance of whatever it's on at different frequencies.
  15. Well a low tune would cover your feeling of the bass. A low tune also makes a flatter response curve that covers about all of the music types you mentioned. I am not really sure how it would do in a boat, as in the boat is open right? so its like having a box outside the tune is kind of pointless If you have an enclosed area on the boat I'd put it there and tune low
  16. Yeah staining isn't really going to bring out anything on MDF. You'll just want to paint it for your color preference Here's some help: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/90067-how-to-paint-wood-mdf-to-a-high-gloss-mirror-finish-with-a-spray-can/
  17. Stain as is polyurethane? or normal painting? sounds like normal painting
  18. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/133661-first-attempt-at-door-panelspods/ Cut the ring and use small dowel rods to attach the ring for speakers to pillar
  19. What I did for my doors was just tape everything up and then make my glass and molds over the tape. I didn't have a removable shell but if I ever wanted my original door panels back, I could theoretically just rip off what's on top of the tape and nothing would be damaged as far as my door. Not sure if that's what you would want to do for your pillars, but just giving you an idea.
  20. Not sure if this is what you're talking about but this is what I use. $3 bucks from the pawn shop
